Main QB is gone

Their starter graduated and was drafted by the eagles. They return 4 guys. 1 will be a senior, 1 a junior and 2 sophomores. Looks like one of the sophomores is supposed to be pretty good. They didn’t recruit a QB either. So Lamson has a shot.

Lamson joins Stanford’s quarterback battle to replace sixth-round NFL Draft pick Tanner McKee. The Cardinal split first-team reps in the spring between junior Ari Patu and sophomore Ashton Daniels. Patu and Daniels both have three seasons of eligibility remaining (Daniels also has a redshirt year).

Stanford will also welcome true freshman Myles Jackson this fall - the Long Beach (Calif.) Millikan High School recruit reclassified from 2024 to 2023, signing with Stanford over 20 offers including Auburn, Kentucky, Louisville, MIssissippi State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Texas A&M, Washington and more.

Good Luck to him. Makes sense because Stanford has no starter or anyone with a lot of playing time at QB. New coach. They were terrible last year.
If he wants to land a starting job this year, this is a very good chance for him. The football program there is in a bit of flux.

he never should have been rehired, terrible game day coach he has taken rutgers for millions. managed to consistently out recruit us although we both had low ranked classes last year. babers is al so a bad game day coach. has not been able to recruit. hopefully may be the recent hires may help that.
