obv waiting on the McCord saga…
The good thing is we'll be going into next year with a QB that can throw the ball, so not a Shrader level QB.
Just to be clear, this is a nonsensical rookie take.
Outstanding is strong. He was a serviceable passer when healthy. Nothing more or less. His arm strength was not good and his accuracy left a lot to be desired.Shrader got hurt. When he was healthy, at the beginning of his seasons, he was outstanding.
Why would he be cool with it originally and then all of the sudden not be cool with it?No inside info here, but what seems to me to make sense... With McCord's appeal hanging in the balance, they're making it clear that whoever comes in is either going to compete with Jakhari or be waiting a year behind McCord.
Salter says no thanks, so they move on to Collins. He's cool with it, based on Kyle's appeal seeming like a longshot. He accepts and his side leaks it, but Fran tells him McCord getting another year is now way more likely than it seemed before, maybe 50-50, and Rickie should probably hold off and see what happens next week.
Rickie's agent/family tell him he better fully reopen the process to be safe, and here we are.
This would make sense right?
We have very different definitions of the word outstanding. Shrader was a more athletic Zach Mahoney.Shrader got hurt. When he was healthy, at the beginning of his seasons, he was outstanding.
Axe's radio show, On The Block, was on TV everyday for 2hrs from like 3 to 5 for a good stretch. I know this because I watched it everyday when I got home from work and occasionally my emails made it on the show. Does this make Axe a "tv journalist"? IDKNot denying your memory but I know I have never seen him on tv until he did some pre game show stuff. I always remember him as the guy that took over for prime time Adam Schein. It’s been many years so it’s all blurry but if he was on tv, it was short lived
I think the chances the NCAA does 5 to play 5 sooner rather than later went up significantly today. Why would he be cool with it originally and then all of the sudden not be cool with it?
McCord getting another year is nowhere close to 50/50. It's essentially the dumb and dumber scene at this point.
I dont know but you are probably right.Doesn’t Holland also do the stuff he’s complaining about others doing?
Brent clearly got something wrong (or too early, we’ll see). But he’s glass housing it. He’s tweeted and then deleted some stuff.
Mccord is gone. Why would he be cool with it originally and then all of the sudden not be cool with it?

Don’t tell me you were one of those BJ kids…LOL print guys have always, how do I put it, not respected tv guys.
Occam’s Razor right hereNo inside info here, but what seems to me to make sense... With McCord's appeal hanging in the balance, they're making it clear that whoever comes in is either going to compete with Jakhari or be waiting a year behind McCord.

If Collins signs with Cuse doesn’t that mean that Axe got the story right? In his post he said “intends to” not that he already had.As he should. He single sourced an important story and got it wrong.
“my commitment is still open” makes it look like he’s wrong and that’s all readers and fans will remember. If Collins signs with Cuse doesn’t that mean that Axe got the story right? In his post he said “intends to” not that he already had.
Thank goodness. I was awaiting Waterboy’s take on the situation before deciding what I thought on the issue.
I get a last minute invite to watch Interstellar on an IMAX and come back to this?!?!?!?!?
The thing that worries my (non professional) eye is his arm action.Hard to see footwork of what he’s done since at LSU but in all his tapes, when his weight is on his front foot - he slings the crap out of it. I really like his hips as well. Does a really nice job of squaring up when on the move. I think that’s what makes him dangerous out of the pocket.
I agree, a healthy Shrader brought a lot to the table. He wasn't the passer McCord is, but his ability to run narrows the gap. His problem was that he was rarely healthy.Shrader got hurt. When he was healthy, at the beginning of his seasons, he was outstanding.
