Qb's listed below who would you say Shrader threw the football better than:
Donnie Mc, Philcox, Graves, McNabb, Nunes, RJ, Paulus, Nassib, Dungey, McCord
You do realize that Philcox was in the NFL for 9 years and he wasn't an NFL back up because of his athleticism, tough to put him behind the rest. I would put Shrader towards the bottom of all of them with regard to passing the football, the surgery between his junior and senior year didn't help either.Donnie Mac, Graves, McNabb - all better; those are the top tier guys. McCord isn't the running threat that they were, but he was by far the best passer we've ever seen, and belongs among them at the top.
Philcox has one good year, with a terrific team around him. I put him below the rest.
Paulus put up good numbers in his one season, mostly running for his life. But he barely threw the ball downfield, and didn't have the strength he would have had if he had played football from the start.
Nunes was worse than Tommy DeVito in the pocket, and he couldn't take a hit. He played scared. I'll never forget that dead duck interception he threw against Michigan while running 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage, or that terrible game he had vs. Georgia Tech at the Meadowlands, so no, Nunes sucks. Worst of the bunch, to me. And RJ was also pretty bad.
I would put Shrader on the 2nd tier with Dungey and Nassib (who threw very hard passes prior to this senior year, when he finally gained some touch).
Maybe we made an offer, then Rickie, against repeated advice, lost that number.

Not a great play call either. And some officiating issues. And we were still fairly competitive...To be fair with Nunes, that UM game that everyone remembers was when he was a frosh if I recall, and shoved onto the field far sooner than he ever should have been.
As a footnote to that game, Tom Brady passed for 26 yards.
Interesting. Thanks for the response.No.
If you mean broadcast journalists, I am a Newhouse grad. If you mean something else from bj, I enjoy them.Don’t tell me you were one of those BJ kids…
Is that why you've got bad knees? If you mean broadcast journalists, I am a Newhouse grad. If you mean something else from bj, I enjoy them.
LOL After acupuncture, my knees are pretty damn goodIs that why you've got bad knees?
Makes sense. When I was in grad school in the early 90's, we used to wave goodbye to the poor souls who vanished into this one guy's research group. "See you in 12 years!"Poor choice. AI is pretty much taking over this field.
(That's artificial intelligence; not Rutgers Al)

Philcox is an excellent comparison to Kyle. Good arm, quick trigger, pocket awareness, intelligent, great locker room presenceYou do realize that Philcox was in the NFL for 9 years and he wasn't an NFL back up because of his athleticism, tough to put him behind the rest. Devito as well isn't in the NFL for no reason either
No. I think some of y'all need to wait and see what else develops in regards to a QB.Interesting. Thanks for the response.
So...now i'm guessing either we are still figuring out NIL details or we are slow playing him to peruse other opportunities that are now popping up or maybe waiting to see if other better options do enter the portal. Thinking its the slow play scenario.
No to the whole enchilada of options there or no to the slow play scenario? No. I think some of y'all need to wait and see what else develops in regards to a QB.
