Class of 2014 RB Erv Phillips (CT)

2 mins to go great finish settng up

edit: thought it was 24-20...29-20 WH down 2 to go

There's no excuse for SU to not have some serious offensive numbers in the next coming years, seems like there are a ton of playmakers coming up to the Dome.

His HS, West Haven, is the 6 seed in the class LL state playoffs. They just beat the 3 seed (and 7th ranked team in the state) from West Hartford 51-26. Next up is 7 seed Fairfield Prep who beat West Haven a few weeks ago 29-20.

They beat them on Thursday.

Philips, who rushed for 144 yards and four TDs against Hall, will face Fairfield Prep Saturday at 2 at Trumbull High.

And the word is still being expressed that he is destined for the slot which is a classic move on the dumb side considering we have Cooper coming in that would make for a perfect "slot receiver".We need a big play RB with the kind of ability to go all the way once he clears the LOS.

So...you know more about this foozball business than Scott Shafer?

267 Yards Rushing 5 TDs, An Interception & A Fumble Recovery #Whoa !!

Swerv Philips
i'm thinking that the whole Phillips to the slot crap is getting flushed away and that Erv will stay as a RB which is what I favor as best for the team i don't see any otter RBs being added to the list of verbals or signing day. After next season web lose both Gulley and Smith. Whether George and Devante take over is still a big open question . A red-shirted Phillips will lessen the great need to get a RB on next years board unless we are able to secure a #44 type into the program.
