RB Jawhar Jordan in the transfer portal

Look up your post here ! How the posters change their tune.

Seriously don't know what this is proving. Didnt read through it but Im assuming fans were excited to watch his film and making predictions of what he can do to help the team. Personally I expect fans to be excited and hope the recruit can reach his full potential. The fans expectations change when they see the players perform in the game. Thats no different than getting a commit with low expectations and getting excited about him afterwards. Like a Chandler Jones or Andre Cisco.

He's trying to make a terrible point.

Yes, we were excited about him, so unless we cry about him leaving, we're fickle fans.

It's how some of the minds work around here.

The point is (an I'm an SU alum) is every recruit is the next great thing, and when he transfers it's either "wish him well", he wasn't good enough, we won't miss him. It's one thing to be a homer but it's another thing to blindly rah rah a recruit based on h.s. film. Let the recruit prove himself then rah rah him. For some posters on this board; Buzz Shaw summed it up perfectly. "Get a life"

And literally every fan board does the same thing. Its not just us. Some will mimimize and some will maximize the impact of a incoming or outgoing transfer. There's plenty of commits that I didnt like initially but coming here and saying that doesnt make me more of a fan. Its not my job to lower the morale of fans that want to have something to cheer for. Its ok to like their HS film and make a prediction. Thats what fans do. It gives them something to talk about. None of us should ever get mad at another fan for liking a recruit/player and so what if they change their minds. Just sounds like you come on here because you dont want people to be happy.

Spot on.

nice job adding some actual substance

like I said, no intelligence and zero effort

nice job improving reading comprehension since last post. At least you can spell intelligence. We’re on the right track. Keep up the good work and you’ll get there soon and remember, “soon” can mean different time frames for different people. So don’t get discouraged.

Does the “q” stand for Quixote?

I mean when you think about it...

Tucker made a clear case to be number 1.

lutz and Pena made a clear case to be number 2.

then don’t forget our Derrick Henry clone in Josh Hough..

I don’t see the playing time for Jordan at RB
What exactly has Pena done to make a clear case to be number 2? He had 1 Rec, for -1 yards. He did have a kickoff return for a TD which does very little in my mind to show that a WR with 1 Rec should be the #2 RB. Lutz impressed me. On a mediocre team Lutz might be a 3rd down back.

As a backup Lutz had 43 rushes for 246 yards. 5.7 yards per carry. While he doesn't have Jordans jets, he comes in at 203, can run well enough, can block plus and can catch (8 for 56). Stats from ESPN. To me in losing Jordan you lose the potential of a homerun. Lutz more consistent and durable. They both bring completely different styles, each with their respective benefits.

Oh I get that. I like Lutz a lot. But two things. One, his season stats are bolstered by one monster game. And two... we need talent. We just do. The record proves it.

Yup and the box's he ran against were very soft. No pressures or stunts. Nykiem Johnson ran good against Wake and he's not a RB. Now that doesn't mean Lutz will not develop and become a productive back for us. A full off season at the position should do wonders. I look forward to seeing his progression but I can't put too much stock into those numbers.

Yeah it was great he had a big game, but I think the more predictive performances might be when he did some good things while Morgan was starting. Especially the pass catching and blocking.

Good point. I agree

I think it's fair to say that Lutz could turn in to a great player or just a role player and likewise, Jordan could have gone either way. But it's not known for either guy which it is at this point.

But as O(I)G said <-- see what I did there - we need more talent.

Every game he played in he did well. DB just gave him limited opportunities when Tucker was healthy. Good number 2.

Are people not allowed to complain? Like jeez do we have to be like “yep the coaching staff played it perfect as they could” every single time something happens. We went 1-10, nothing went right. They get 0 benefit of the doubt

Seeing that Marks from UB removed his name from the portal, I'm not super optimistic that the same will happen with Jordan, but I now have a shred of hope.

Maybe Jordan will come back here, but I do think that there's a big difference between a guy entering the portal with one year of eligibility left (presumably to showcase himself for the draft) and a guy entering the portal with 3 years of eligibility left.

Pena and Lutz are nice players. J is a special talent. You cant teach 4.3 speed. He proved in very limited attempts that he was a special player on returns and in space. Big loss

Is Jordan in the SU Student Directory for Spring 2021?

Yes, as long as people are also allowed to complain about posters here.
