Will be coming up from CT for the Florida game tomorrow. I usually try to get to the Dome for a game or two each year. Was able to score a couple of tickets in sec 114 on the endline. Really psyched...should be a great game. Can anyone suggest a nice place for dinner (aside from Dinosaur or Danzers)? Thanks.

What kind of food you looking for? Gentiles is a really good small Italian place with seasonal menus.. Lemon grass is good for Thai in armory square.. I got plenty of ideas. Just need to know what you were in the mood for

L'Adour is a very nice French restaurant downtown, just a few minutes from campus.

L'ardour is a great choice yea...you want to plan for being there for a while but it's worth it. If you want something not too classy but good there is always Colemans or pastabilities or kitty hoynes

Honestly, I wouldn't let my dog eat the food at Colemans. I would rather got to nibsys for a special over anything on the menu at colemans.

Go to twin trees.

If you want pizza and wings without question twin trees is the best pizza in the world, nib sys has great wings and good pizza but I wouldn't eat anything else there.

what you looking for? I recommend Gentile's. Its got some quality food. Asti's is good.

Is the Varsity a game day classic?

Varsity is always a classic game day or not game day..I'll be there tomorrow, you can't beat the atmosphere of varsity with endless fans waiting to get their eats.

Try Joey's, Justin's, or Grimaldi's al near Carrier circle can't go wrong. Other than the French place all other suggestions are not very good.

we appear to be on a similar page here. I'd recommend everything you've said.

Gentile's nearly killed me last time i was there..i would avoid that

Pronto Joeys on Carrier Circle. There is two restaurants there, but I think Pronto's would be more applicable for a pregame meal. If you got there at 5 pm and let them know you were going to the game, you would have no problem with enjoying your meal and have plenty of time. Also possible getting there at 5:30 but that might be pushing it. Wherever you plan on eating I would call ahead for reservations.

Rileys on Park Street is also good.

Dude... Carrier circle restaurants are for people that don't know good restaurants around town and are staying in hotels. How could you say any of those are bad suggestions that I offered? What restaurants do you frequent?

Riley's is one of my favorite lunch spots...good spot. Annoying as hell to find parking though

Truth is Syracuse is one of the best medium size cities for independent restaurants...and I've been to a lot of places around the country.

Problem I had with Portland Maine is that it had more homeless people than non homeless...I swear to god I've never seen so many homeless people haha.
