Saint Dougie...

I was in Buffalo during the JP Losman era. I remember running into him at The Steer on N. Main St. and asking why he was at a college bar. He said because of the college girls. It was then that I knew JP wasn't gonna cut it in the NFL, he never got past his college glory years.
But he was a first round pick!!!

They beat Rothisberger, Dalton, Rivers, Watson, and Wilson too. Of course I brought up Bortles because they are winning with last year's 28th rated passer. In 2015 he was 24th and 2014 he was 30th. Oh yeah, he was drafted #3. That changes everything. This year he is 13th...hmmm, what changed? Stay by the phone, Denise might call.

And they did not beat Watson (Watson was in for mop up duty week 1)... but they did lose to Blaine Gabbert and Josh McCown

Watson played the entire 2nd half and threw 23 passes and they scored 7 points.

It was 19-0 at the half. Watson came in for his first NFL action with a 19-0 hole. If you wanna call that “beating Watson” then have at it. Haha

I hated that Losman pick from the second it happened. I just knew he would bust. But I'm not always right - I thought Aaron Maybin was a great pick

And I had the opposite feelings on each.

I guess in those days we should have just assumed bust considering the Bills made the pick.

No. He exercised a contract option to be paid $4,000,000.00 to not coach for a new owner.
He did exactly what his contract allowed him to do. You don't get compensated to quit.
Yes. He exercised a contract option to quit. So he quit. Not saying he shouldn't have done it. Maybe I would have done the same thing. But let's call it exactly what it is.

I get that people have a certain amount of disdain for Marrone for the way he left SU, but why does anyone care that he quit Buffalo? People treat it like it's some unique circumstance and that it's some huge character flaw. He didn't like the situation for whatever reason, so he left. Big deal. Bill Belichick did it to the Jets. Nick Saban did it to Miami. I just saw video yesterday of him stating he wasn't going to Alabama two weeks before he took the job there. It's business. Teams won't hesitate to fire coaches. Why should coaches act with anymore loyalty?

BB and NS are also widely renowned narcissistic jerks. Which is what many of us are saying here about Marrone.

Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, Joe Montana and Tom Brady agree.

So you think Jacoby Brissett, Tom Savage, Deshone Kizer, and TJ Yates are on the same talent plane as Blake Bortles?

Ok. How many people obssess over the other narcissitic jerks' decisions to leave their previous employers? Newflash, a lot of head coaches in sports are narcisstic jerks. It's almost a prerequisite.

If you think we obsess over Doug Marrone then I think you misinterpret what’s going on here.

you referring to the 28th best QB last year?

Yep. That guy.
So now the 28th best is good? LOL. Kyle Orton led the Bills to their last winning season. I bet you would say he was great too.
