Saint Dougie...

So now the 28th best is good? LOL. Kyle Orton led the Bills to their last winning season. I bet you would say he was great too.

You’ve spent this entire exchange ignoring what I actually say and what my actual point is. Well done.

I cant’t believe you think Bortles is so good.

Bologna Boys doesn't even sound right. It's like a San Francisco Tenderloin district street gang.

I never said he’s “so good.” I said he’s better than the slugs I had mentioned in the post you replied to.

Here's the beauty of Bortles -

If Bortles sucks, it's a credit to Marrone that he's been able to win despite Bortles.

If Bortles is good, it's because Marrone molded him to be so.

Either way, Saint Douglas' divine mandate is affirmed.

Our coach which art in Jacksonville, hallowed be thy name. Thy Dove bar come, thy Gatorade be done, in Buffalo, as it was in Syracuse. Give us this day our daily bologna, and forgive us our punts, as we forgive our punters, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from late game clock management. For thine is the head coaching gig, and the power, and the glory, forever.

Amen.

And if Marrone wins at Syracuse, Buffalo and Jacksonville it's all dumb luck.

10-4 and first in the division.

Wins v. Rothisberger, Dalton, Rivers, Watson, and Wilson

Despite having last year's 28th rated QB who was rated 23rd the year before and 30th in the year you claimed was his best.

And if Marrone wins at Syracuse, Buffalo and Jacksonville it's all dumb luck.
I mean, if we want to be accurate, he had a .500 record at Syracuse and a losing record at Buffalo.

Jacksonville is his first "winning" job.

You start with what the prior guy gave you (of course, you know that). It's about improvement. At SU he was handed a 3-9 team and improved it to 8-5. At Buffalo, he was handed a 6-10 team which he improved to 9-7. At Jacksonville, he was handed. a 3-13 team which currently sits as division leader at 10-4 less that a year later. You can spin that all you want but anyone with half a brain can see a good trend.

If the Bills had kept everything intact, that is Doug and his assistants as well as Orton, they would have been as good or better than the Jags are this year. They could have won a Superbowl with that team.

LOL Rex Ryan. He was the coach of the future...taking the Bills to the promised land after being jilted by that nasty Doug Marrone.

Whoa, hang on - is it about winning, or is it about improvement?
In case you didn't notice, Marrone coached them all to winning seasons while being handed losing teams. So in that case, it was about improving the teams to winning ones. 8-5, 9-7, 10-4 are all winning records. The first number is the wins, the second is the losses. When there are more wins than losses, it's called a winning season.

When you accumulate the wins and losses of a coach's record at their various stops, you can determine if they were a winning, break even, or losing coach at each stop by seeing if there are more wins, equal numbers of wins and losses, or more losses.

When a team hasn't been winning, don't you have to improve to win?
Eh, my post was an exercising in exposing the Marrone halo.

His post was about winning. Until it wasn't. Then it was about improvement.

The real question is will the Bills have a winning record for the first time since Doug? One thing we know, they can't party like it's 1999...the last time they won at least 10 (like Marrone did this year so far).

Amazing that he quit a Superbowl team.
