No.Or when Marrone is involved.
Orton retired.

Orton retired.
He already knew what the deal was, he's not stupid.

Ok. Stay tuned.True. Orton retired after making his $30M in the NFL and Marrone decided $4M was better than having to deal with another year with the Bills. Thus began the rage of the jilted Bills fans who have not seen a winning season since... and are likely not to see one this year.
Orton had already told that the new owners were backing Whaley and his plan not to retain Marrone's assistants and that Doug was going to take his option and leave. So instead of being "released" by the Bills he decided to retire. That was on Decenber 29th and Marrone was gone the next day or the day after. He would have come back had the Marrone program stayed in place. The writing was on the proverbial wall.True. Nah. You're cherry picking. He pointed out that Marrone has taken losing teams and improved them into winning teams. You don't like him, so you spin it differently. That's cool. We live in a culture where we spin numbers to fit our narratives.Eh, my post was an exercising in exposing the Marrone halo.
His post was about winning. Until it wasn't. Then it was about improvement.
I hope that wasn't in response to my ridiculously long winded post. That's not at all what I was saying.Yeah, Marrone sucks... ok.
Lol, not at all... I didn't even read the thread.I hope that wasn't in response to my ridiculously long winded post. That's not at all what I was saying.

Those are misleading choices, because what you're really asking is if he's a great coach, or the GREATEST coach. So is taking over historically bad (SU and Jags) or just habitually bad (Buffalo) and having winning seasons in the first or second year three times in a row a sign of being a good or bad coach?
He already knew what the deal was, he's not stupid.
Yeah, Marrone sucks... ok.
In other words you’re incapable of an honest answerThose are misleading choices, because what you're really asking is if he's a great coach, or the GREATEST coach.
Ad altare Marronei!
My bad. You posted so soon after I posted mine I thought maybe it came off wrong.Lol, not at all... I didn't even read the thread.
I came home from a Christmas party, feeling merry, clicked on the thread and wrote it.
I don't know why you try to keep taking things to weird places. In other words you’re incapable of an honest answer
Not surprised
I don't know why you try to keep taking things to weird places.
This is the Doug Marrone celebration thread, dammit! Stop trying to sully it with your ridiculous personal vendettas.
If so, I think you're in the wrong place.I thought this was the Marrone mockery thread.
Prove it.Orton had already told that the new owners were backing Whaley and his plan not to retain Marrone's assistants and that Doug was going to take his option and leave. At this point, I don't even remember what I was talking about in this thread.Your whole narrative collapses and that's the best you can do, to assert people have asserted or implied the word "greatest" into this discussion.
Such a fraud.
It stands up to reasonable analysis.Prove it.
Did you see the San Fran fumble recover by Jags, ruled not a fumble forward motion stopped even though it was not? Or all the penalties that were quick thrown flags like the head butt that was a guy jawing with a guy not butting. Jimmy G is real deal.and the niners are a playoff team next year with him, but the Jags in spite of normal bortles still we're shafted numerous times today. Sort of like Jimmy G is the new Brady. And the Niners will.become the new PatriotsWell, all you bologna buys should take heart - even though Marrone's chances at NFLCOY dropped with today's loss, there's an extremely high chance I'll miss out on a fantasy trophy thanks in part to Blake Bortles.
Karmic justice? Nah, I don't believe in that bologna.
