Does anyone think a Tucker signing would motivate Ayala?

It could definitely help. Tucker can shoot and space the floor. If we had Thompson, Brissett and Tucker along the back line that would really open up the floor for Ayala. I don't know what to think about Ayala. I've convinced myself he is not coming but the way the staff acted towards Waters among other people it makes me think that maybe they know something I don't and our still confident. Tucker is far more important though. If we had him with Thorpe I think we would be in good shape next year.

Agreed - seems it may be Hughes the staff prefers, to Thorpe.

Conceptually I get it completely - with another young team in '18, it could be argued that a kid with upside, a year in the system, and likely 20 years old, would be preferable to another frosh.

Thorpe is a bit too high volume for me. Maybe it's a product of him being at USF with no one else good around him. But with Battle and TT next year (hopefully Tucker as well) we won't really need a guy to come in and do nothing but shoot when he gets the ball.

Geesh sid reclassifies and a few days later cuts his list to 6. Ayala has talked about reclassifying all year long yet still doesn't know what the heck he's going to do. Pretty long list...yet were still holding out hope he's coming to cuse for 17. Ayala needs to take a lesson from Sid and not be scared! What good is another year of prep school when you got a top notch D1 program ready for you to play now!
