That's a great hire for Maryland. I'll be watching a lot more Maryland games now.
Wonder if cordy and Clark transfer to Maryland
He will out-meathead all the B1G meathead teams.his style does pretty well against most of those b10 teams.
Whatever he makes at Maryland will be deducted from what SU owes him.Shafer will land a nice gig AND still make his Syracuse money this year. I know he still wants to be here, but that's one hell of a consolation prize.
Shafer is very well-respected amongst the coaching community. For anyone to think otherwise is silly. He has developed relationships with many people obviously due to his personality, but also because his attacking style of defense is not common and can really cause fits when properly executed. Dabo always hated going against a Shafer D because it really brought a ton of different pressure that was hard to gameplan for. Do not be surprised to see Shafe land a big P5 DC job (Michigan, Illinois, etc) or a HC gig (MAC, CUSA).
I mean, imagine seeing Shafer's D with athletes from schools like Michigan or Clemson. It would be very successful.
and if they do????they doWonder if cordy and Clark transfer to Maryland
Kayton Samuels @Yall_JustMyfans 15m15 minutes agoIt's always been a possibility. Steven is very close with Shafer, Daoust, and Hicks -- all of whom are now gone. His dad said he's likely going to stay, and will see who the spring goes.Wait, was Steven Clark looking to leave? I know his father is outspoken about the firing. Is he still on the board? Was always a pretty good contributor on the recruiting side.
We do in 2019, assuming he's still there.Just glad we don't face him. Congrats coach shaf, good luck
