So... Did Benny end up going to practice?

Why will UNC be ranked next week? They’ve already lost to Pitt this week and their next game is against an unranked opponent.

Cause its Duke. They win, they ranked.

The story is that “he” misspelled his name on the SAT. NCAA flagged it.
Uggh

What a wasted opportunity that was. Just thinking of him on that team. Holy cow. Good lord. I need to take a walk now.

Awesome that "he" got so much better about spelling his name on SATs before Tark 'discovered' him.

Benny Williams: I need someone to spell my name right.
Maliq Brown:

Still trying to track down whoever this "Malik" fellow is...

Or, maybe not. That team was bad, now that I look at it.

I actually remember the story in the Post-Standard. His mom said the letter with his SAT score arrived and he got home from school and decided to go to his room and open in by himself. A minute later, she heard him hollering and celebrating that he got a qualifying score.

At the time I remember thinking it was a fun little story.

After the eligibility issue I thought, hmm, that probably makes the story a lot more interesting.

I wonder how Benny's teammates feel about him skipping a game again the 6th ranked team in the nation, because he was frustrated with his play.
Yep, although in some respects he did them a favor. I don’t know if the UVA game would have been as close with Williams playing the seven minutes he played against VT.

Brown playing 40 minutes isn’t sustainable, though. Someone has to back him up. Williams, JBA, somebody.

Benny is a 6-10 kid who still thinks he's 6-6.

He needs to be under the basket getting rebounds, instead of loitering outside.

He really needs the spirit and passion for being at SU that DC had.

Yeah it's been two years of just hoping that light turns on with flashes and then crash and burn.

Hart
Janulis
Cipolla
Burgan

Would’ve made for a nice Main 6. Etan was raw, but you could do a lot worse at backup C. Too bad Rock didn’t really get in the picture. 98 team could’ve been great with him as a soph.

I’ve seen enough. He said all the right things last year, and I credit him for continuing to work hard and coming back for another season.

Watching him this year, though…he’s just in it for himself. If he plays well and we lose, he’s happy. If he doesn’t play well and we win, he pouts. If he was a team player before, he isn’t now.

Yeah. I'll be curious if his starting spot is gone permanently... or should I say hopeful that it is.

Sitting on the bench pouting as the rest of the Dome goes nuts as we pull out a close win said at all for me.

Can be mad you’re not a big part of that game and still do the right things like get in the huddle and act like you care if we win or not.

Kids are a lot cooler with that stuff that uptight adults. Its interesting. We have had players miss games for questionable (or worse) conduct, and are welcomed back with open arms. Here is a kid who by all accounts is a fine young man, not a bad actor, whose career hasn't gone how anyone thought it would. He lost his starting job and he said hey coach, I need a day or two to gather myself, and people are bashing him. SMH.

Maybe on BS 13-10 teams with no expectations of winning, or teams with a lot of soft, entitled candy ass kids.

Pull that on the wrong team and kids would want to fight him.
