It will be interesting to see if they are big enough to apologize for their once again horribly misread and completely incompetent reporting and analysis on Syracuse football. Emily is new and taking cues from Axe, who must take more of the responsibility here.Instead of focusing on the perception of instability and weakness
All the sky is falling takes are the perspective of a child

Not taking Emily completely off the hook but in fairness the titles, which are often sensationalist, are added/influenced by the "editors".Axe is an opinion writer, not a beat writer. He's not supposed to be a facts guy. Whether he's good at it or not is not a conversation I'm interested in.
Emily is a solid beat writer. I don't see where the "negativity" thing comes in.
I don’t know how Syracuse.com works, but historically, reporters don’t write their own headlines. I can say from experience it’s a wildly different skill set.Not taking Emily completely off the hook but in fairness the titles, which are often sensationalist, are added/influenced by the "editors".
why do you consider him an ambassador for the program? How is Brent axe still employed he’s terrible. He’s such a terrible ambassador for the program. Is he through the post standard or a different media outlet?
I'm thinking this:If both shave their heads and wear a burlap bag for a year, I will forgive them.
It is in no way his job to be a ambassador for the program. He doesn't work for the school or the football program. How is Brent axe still employed he’s terrible. He’s such a terrible ambassador for the program. Is he through the post standard or a different media outlet?
Agree, it’s not , still no excuse for being clueless. It is in no way his job to be a ambassador for the program. He doesn't work for the school or the football program.
Agree. But it’s in his interest to cover the university in a way that’s fair and accurate. It is in no way his job to be a ambassador for the program. He doesn't work for the school or the football program.
They’re weak. At least have the fortitude to ask the tough questions. But lobbing in softballs only to then be tougher when nobody’s watching isn’t doing a good job either. It’s weird, neither of them really press Dino face to face in press conferences but they’re all doom and gloom now. Really can’t figure them out.
Unfortunately not many editors employed anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if they write / suggest their own now. It’s fairly common as editorial staffs have been gutted.I don’t know how Syracuse.com works, but historically, reporters don’t write their own headlines. I can say from experience it’s a wildly different skill set.
his job is to get eyeballs on his stuff though.. do doom and gloom and negative stories get more views or promoting the team in ways that might actually help the program and attendance and make them more popularIt is in no way his job to be a ambassador for the program. He doesn't work for the school or the football program.
Brent Axe has never understood the SU Football ProgramInstead of focusing on the perception of instability and weakness

It’s his job to know the facts - he doesn’t and never hasIt is in no way his job to be a ambassador for the program. He doesn't work for the school or the football program.
I want the old scout backNothing but chasing clicks….sad.
My kingdom for Donnie Webb and Dave Rahme…
