nope no way. Thought we'd be at least flirting with .500 but then was brow beat enough to predict better! Thought TD was gonna be special enough to lift the team, didn't think though the line would be this bad to make his task so difficult.

The thing is, who among us has not posted something on the internet and then got steamed up over the criticism from the less visionary? I myself suffer from Irish Alzheimer's: "I forget everything except the grudges."

Still...in order to pat yourself on the back/get your revenge on the less-enlightened, you have to use finesse.

I have no idea how to do that. Perhaps you could use a burner account to copy and paste your original prediction and say "wow, this guy really called it correctly!"

I have no idea how to create a burner account either. I mean, I know in theory but I assume that the mods would look at my ISP and say "hey! SUstud44 is actually Dick in MI! We will expose him to his everlasting humiliation. At my age I can only take just so much more sorrow. So to be totally anonymous I would have to buy a second computer and a second ISP and frankly thanks to the ACC and Comcast my children's' inheritance is already being blown on streaming to see SU games.

But you get the idea. It isn't wrong for someone to want to remind people that they were right. But you have to do it the right way or else it just makes everything worse. If it is any consolation, I thought we'd go about 6-6. I never bought into the whole "Tommy is going to throw for 5000 yards" or "the LB's are going to surprise us" or "the OL is going to "play the actual sport of football" "

Someone mentioned that people shouldn't be so sensitive. I think that opinion is being applied wrong. In the past when someone has made a pessimistic prediction and it was wrong, I've seen that revisited and called out by people that disagreed and then others jumped on the bandwagon. But if it goes the other way, people should keep their mouth shut. Double standards are crap.

I never thought we'd be this bad and debated that our oline would be fine when people expressed concern. I was wrong and I'll give credit to those that saw this or something similar coming.

Seems to me that the same group think that had us at 9-3 and Orange Bowl bound is also trashing the OP. Why not ask them what they saw way back when that everyone else missed. Trashing the OP for bragging as though that's a fault punishable by the board's full wrath misses the point. Using last year's results to predict this year was flawed thinking, which much to the OP's credit they didn't fall victim to what the herd did.

Maybe if certain board-types stop telling people to quit posting altogether, calling them morons, etc then we wouldn't see so many i told you so posts as well.
