Sterlin Gilbert

Then why speculate on that ridiculousness? Nice trolling, Cous.
Because if I were the OC, I would not think spindly little freshman could deal with ACC level corners and safeties and wouldn't want to run a fool's errand.

Maybe Gilbert wanted to bring in some portal receivers and Babers said no. That something we'll never know because Dino runs the program on a total information lockdown and he always gets the benefit of doubt in every situation.
What ifs… Dino’s the overseer, Sterlin’s job is the O.

Jason Garrett didnt get re-do’s bc players weren’t available.

I've come to the conclusion that Dino is a big sandbagger. They could have got 1 or 2 receivers in the portal that could play at this level. But no, just beat expectations down and look like a hero getting 6 or 7 wins next year.

Final play of the V. Tech game when he threw a perfect 42 yard pass to Alford for the game winner.

Dino said when he got to him on the field he was “coughing and choking and struggling to breath.” Dino said he looked at him and said “get up and be the hero you are.”

That screams that this kid has at MINIMUM 1 cracked rib….but I would be willing to bet it’s more

If we get the W today and move on to a bowl game I bet you see a totally different GS in that bowl game.
I think you’re probably right. So, why leave him in games we are getting blown out? Risk even further injury, or, season ending injury? Even if not injured, why leave him in? Irresponsible

Or that he got the wind knocked out of him like they said. Because he got up, jumped up and banged Edinger to the ground.

Seems weird that Dino would tell a kid with a possible cracked rib to jump up and celebrate.

But I guess can see Dino saying jump up and celebrate so BC doesn’t know you have a cracked rib.

This has reached the Dion Waiters "Nut Scratching" conspiracy level. :D

Now that, I don’t have an answer for

They came out of the game trying to throw the ball because nc state was stacking the box and then we fell behind quick. Yes, tucker should get more touches than 13 but its not why we lost.
Every team stacks the box? you think Ncst was the first team? every team knows we couldn’t move the ball in the air and that has no affect on what we try to do. It was just a horribly called drive.

His first 2 games as a starter were fine. He passed for 200 yards and hit half of his throws.

We would have killed for that production since then. But he got hit with a cheap shot (another fan said it was vs. Va Tech ...), and I think he has a rib injury.

I don't know about you, but I probably wouldn't make most of those throws with cracked ribs, either.
If he has cracked ribs and that’s the reason he isn’t making the throws then the staff is even more incompetent than we thought. And also his first start he threw for 77 yards on 6-15, and his 2nd 150 yards on 13-23. He’s only gone over 200 yards once.

And you shouldn’t be designing runs for your starting QB with cracked ribs.

How can you blame the OC of a team with a QB who cannot throw the ball??

No offensive coordinator can deal with that. He is doing the best with what he has to work with.

Nobody on this board likes him but he’s been given chicken poop to work with. He may be looking for a new job but it better be right next to Dino Babers.
He had a QB who could throw, and he couldn’t play call for him. Four QBs, essentially zero production among them all, that’s a coaching issue. At the very least he cannot improve the offense and just about anybody can come in and call plays to get <250 yards of total offense.

Hmmm… I was told that QB who “cannot throw the ball” came to SU because of Gilbert. If that’s the case, why did the OC recruit a QB who cannot throw? He’s responsible for his own “chicken poop”.

Perhaps the OC thought the QB Coach would be able to coach up Shrader the same way he coached up the previous starting QB. Oops….

I don’t think the game plans have been all that bad, it’s execution. Gilbert schemed WR’s open last week but Shrader missed them and the game before Shrader hit Benson twice but Benson dropped the ball. If we hit any of those plays the D probably would have loosened up a little on us
I have no inside info...but I think Schrader must have a shoulder or arm injury he is playing through. Some of those throws were HS JV level bad.

Yeah my money is on Shrader playing hurt. Which is even more head scratching why Dino left him in the whole game at LVille down 41-3

It is black or white, no gray area. Gilbert is a failure and needs to go. That is all.
I think it might depend on tonight. If we win and go to a bowl, win the bowl game then everyone is back.

If we lose tonight but Dino is back next year, who is going to come here for maybe 1 year?

Yep I don’t think this is a rib injury, betting it’s his shoulder

If we can’t win tonight, especially after Pitt benches their starters….the whole staff minus Tony White should be fired

Very well could be…I’m betting Shrader is injured too

You don’t fall off as dramatically as he has after throwing pretty well

Yeah he is absolutely hurt, I think the only question is what part of his body. He had some pretty decent passing games, Va Tech being more than decent, and then all of a sudden after that hit he can’t do a thing.

But you did stay at a holiday Inn express last night
