It’s too bad they apparently have to have an exclusive deal with one company for the entire athletic department.
IMO, b-ball sneakers are really the only thing where brand matters to a lot of people. Nobody really cares who designs the uniforms - as long as they look good. Nobody cares about cleats and turf shoes as long as they work.

They don't appear to be trying too hard. Nike designs awful, amateurish uniforms for us and then literally hands the exact same design to Illinois while we're still wearing them.

Without really knowing how it works, it’s clear to me that many teams wear our uniform. Wake Forest for example wears the exact same uniform, including a stupid design on the shoulders, but because of the color scheme and the font being different it goes un-hated. I think you lose the font and make a modern day version of our classic scheme, even on today’s jerseys and we’re good to go.

The problem with Nike is that they think they are being creative and artistic by focusing on things like 44 degree pinstriping and numerals that are supposed to represent skyskrapers, none of that junk matters. They need to stand back and (hopefully) say - hey these are ugly (i,e take a 10,000 ft view instead of focusing on meaningless details ).

Well, if you combine the two teams win totals the last few years then they might be bowl eligible- maybe Nike is on to something here. Wear the same unis and if the programs combine for 6 wins they all get to go to that lower tier bowl

I noticed that all of the pictures of the recruits are being taken in front of a white background. That is not what they used before...I wonder if something brand new is coming. Didn’t Coach Babers allude to that about seven months ago...

I think the white background just looks better in the photo shoots. The old background always looked wrinkled and droopy.

If they were smart we could alternate home and away weeks on our schedules. That way we could share uniforms and save a boat load of money.
