So you have no hope this team can improve significantly as the season goes on and the coaching staff figures out what works and what doesn’t and makes improvements to the team defense and offense?

Who does everyone think should be the coach? Bc you’re not getting a coach from a high level conference so let’s hear it …

Disagree on that. If Red doesn’t work out (I’m still rooting hard for him), there will be options. i think we’ll be able to get the top proven mid major coach like a Dusty May (who went to Michigan). Or getting Sean Miller from Xavier. There are also some high major coaches who may want a change of scenery and better recruiting territory. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.

Make me wonder if it could be difficult already. Maliq went to Duke to play with freshman leading the way. Who's coming here to play 3rd or 4th fiddle to Kyian and friends?

I still don't know what our game plan is other than getting players and plugging them in and roll the balls out. I don't know but I'm losing faith fast and I don't want to be.

I don't have hope the team can improve significantly because we haven't have a team prove significantly since John Gillon was here.

The bottom fell off last year and we revamped and the bottom is still hanging.

Will they improve? Probably. Significantly? I don't see how. Couldn't find ways to improve against 3 tomato cans in two weeks I doubt you can make significant improvements playing against the best teams in our league.


Sorry, this team is cooked and it's 100% defense, the defense won't get better.

All i am saying is that keeping red because of Kiyan seems very short sighted. If you get amazing players but you can’t coach them, you’re not going to keep getting good players. Coaches will start to recruit against you, it’s exactly what happened to Payne

The problem is it isn't just coaching, the talent evaluation and roster decisions have been awful. Carlos doesn't belong here and as good as Lampkin is on offense he is even worse on defense, was film watched or stats even looked at?

You can't make those decisions and beat the teams like they did and expect good faith, this stuff can't be defended.

Nobody is going to care about our social media presence if we're on the bubble year after year. If it's about that stuff then roll out a goddamn red carpet and have Adam W walk down and pull his pants down so Wildhack and give it a nice smooch.

He's 23 12 has a head coach with a top 5 recruiting class with a chance for it to be number 1 if we land another recruit...new to basketball?

Overall record in college basketball is meaningless. So far he is 0-1 in making it to the tournament that is all that matters. This season unless he turns it around big time he will be 0-2 in making the tournament. Recruiting classes will not matter if he can't coach up the talent to make the tournament.

And they're less important in a portal world.

Texas is 3-1. Lost to Ohio St., 72 - 80 in Vegas, all the other games were at home and were the scores I expected we'd have vs who we played but we didn't - Youngstown St takes us to 2 OT!

Texas vs Houston Christian W 90 - 59, vs Chicago St. W 105 - 98, vs Miss Valley St W 89- 43.

Next stop The Barclays Center v Texas????!!!

I don't think we get many W's this year and I don't think that is a bad assumption, unless we play teams like Clarion and Slippery Rock. Unfortunately they're not on our schedule again.

Yes, they're not playing well. But we had some awful games at the beginning of last year, too, and still won 20 games.

Forgive me if I missed something but why isn’t Kyle Cuffe playing?

Or Naheem. Our PG isn't getting it done, and our interior defense could still use a shot blocker in there from time to time. Although I will say that Donnie and Eddie did a pretty good job on the boards last game.
