Well, aside from one quarter against WMU (where we pulled our starting quarterback) we've looked as good as anyone could possibly expect. Our run/pass balance is way better than it was last year and we don't key in on one or two receivers. One safety has as many interceptions as the entire 2017 team. Whether or not FSU is good, Cam Akers is great and did absolutely nothing against us. So, honestly, if you can't see the evidence that we're doing better, then you're just not looking.
Also, I didn't say he isn't good. I'm saying he hasn't really played anyone either. He might end up as the #1 over all pick in 3 years, but right now he's a freshman who has started a total of 0 games. I'm not willing to give him the heisman quite yet.
All of this is to say that I don't expect to win against Clemson. However, again, I think the spread is silly.
