NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Rutgers University will play James A. McDivitt Elementary School in football in 2015 and 2016, the McDivitt Principal's Office announced today.

The series will be a home-and-home. McDivitt will visit Rutgers Stadium in the upcoming 2015 season and the Scarlet Knights will meet the grade schoolers in the open field behind the McDivitt gymnasium in 2016.

Thats too bad, that Rutgers/Norfolk st matchup was becoming quite the rivalry.

I am impressed that teh accusations made public already do NOT include verbal or physical abuse. Quite an improvement from Rutgers. Still as messed up as can be as can be but an improvement nonetheless.
do they have any sanctions?---amazes me that people still laugh at them, when in football they out recruit us, beat us and have better attendance--tell me what is wrong with this picture, other than arrogance?????? as for flood contacting a faculty member re a players grades---whats wrong with that, so long as he was not trying to influence the grade and eligibility. thats on the ncaa for a stupid regulation.

Not everyone holds Syracuse in such low esteem as yourself.

Are SU fans really denegrating another program about academic shenanigans?

I love these replies on "our" fan board when shots are taken at another team/school. It's a FAN board with a certain amount of hypocrisy/irrationality to be expected as well as a heavy dose of talking about any and all other programs. I might be mistaken but this board is supposed to be a diversion from those things in life that are truly serious...

Yep.

#Chumpnation
sucks
You're drawing a straight line - but our coaches didn't contact the teacher directly. We went through the proper channels. Our proper channels just sucked.
and he did it well!!! you like to attack posters ---you like facts but hide from them when you get them---i consider you superficial--however, i read you posts for entertainment ---you do amaze me ---you are amusing

If you see the two programs as equals, you must have only started following football for the last ten years.

I don't really care how you feel about me.

My comment was in reference to the physical and verbal abuse that Rutgers coaches of late have gained notoriety. SU coaches, to my recollection, have not resorted to physical abuse nor verbal abuse.

Umm, didn't you infer that that is what happened?

She is chancellor of Rutgers University-Newark. But, guilt by association... ;)
yeah ,I knew that, but you caught my drift.

Even some thinks she might be in-line to replace Barachi or whatever is his name when she was hired. A bike path is in the works to connect the two campuses.

A huge problem for SU FB faithful is the belief that yesterday matters. Would you go to a surgeon who said "I know I'm not much now, but in 1959 I was the best, and in the 80's I had a resurgence."?

If the surgeon wanted to know why I was there, I'd have to tell him about my past. My knee hurts. I blew it out playing pickup basketball, but that's not important. Also, can you fix my head? That hurts too.

History always matters. You need to remember who you were and where you came from to know where you want to go and what you want to be.
