I'm shocked no one is commenting on the game. I'll go along with it.

Kasheem Greene just broke his leg.

Speaking truthfully, ever since we announced our move to the ACC, I couldn't care less about the girls...

Looks like a good turnout and a 9 win season.

But yeah, we should keep proclaiming our superiority to them, that 1989 Peach Bowl trophy means a ton to high school kids.

Was the '89 Peach Bowl the last bowl game we played in? I can't remember.

I have no strong feelings about Rutgers. Schiano deserves some credit for hiring saving his team with the new OC. But no matter what goes on at Rutgers, next year is very important for SU.

The ACC so proclaimed. End of story. Thank goodness that decision was made by adults, and not by high school kids.

Okay, I'll admit, I was enjoying our budding "rivalry" for no other reason than to irrationally hate and talk smack about another school year-round.

But, the ACC thing (and Eric LeGrand in the broadcasters' booth during the RU/WVa game) threw cold water on the whole thing for me. So good for them. Nice win.

I love this new excuse that has been popping up...
TIME IS NOT YOUR FRIEND, IT WILL BE A SLOW DECLINE, BUT YOUWILL BE THE WORST OF THE HAVE NOTS SOON!

Attendance was 38328. They squeezed in a whopping 56 more people in the door then our game last year. Safe to say we won the crowd war considering that Iowa state had a much larger crowd than KSU did.

Throw in the snow storm last year and it gets interesting. I guess all those Rutgers fans were watching the game today on the tele someplace in Manhattan.

Last year I couldn't go because I had bronchitis. I was stuck on my couch a few miles away in Manhattan, and I can say for sure that the game last year was much more exciting to watch on the tele.

Thanks and happy new year!

I only saw part of the game. Looked like a low turnout.

Facts aren't an excuse. We are in the ACC. Why would we care about big east teams.

Y0u think that was a good turnout? They panned the stadium a couple of times and there were a lot of empty seats. Went and looked at my pictures from last year and there were more people there last year.

As far as superiority, I find it amusing that people in another thread railed on our 2 d1AA wins last year; like there is an asteric next to it, and they rail on Marrone in general because our conference is so weak but then you mention rutgers 9 win season this year like it's a big accomplishment. stop it. rutgers ooc schedule this year was NC Central, UNC, Army, Navy and Ohio. Talk about padding a record. Schiano has been there 10 years now. He's never even touched a bowl game on the level of the peach bowl. I think the biggest bowl game he's played in is the St Pete bowl or the Texan bowl. He's got a motor city bowl, some bowl game in Toronto and now a Pinstripe. Rutgers is an average program and it took all they had to beat us by 3 points.

I was shocked that Rutgers was able to have their own conference officials do the game today.

The sections they showed were half full. We definitely has more there last year and ksu brought more than isu.

It filled in by late 1st Q just like ours: I think they might have had 5k more but consider this:

Much, much better weather on gameday
No weather emergency the week prior
SU slow to sell deeply discounted tix
Iowa State seemed to travel a tad better than KSU...Iowa State actually can be driven in one real long day.

Ruttie for being all of 30 miles away didn't blow them away on the attendance front.
