silver out.....looking at ticketmaster. I know I'm beating the proverbial "dead horse" The tickets seemed to be moving but the last two losses seem to have put things at a stand still.

As they should. Fans can't directly effect the product on the field.

The only thing we can do is vote with our wallets.

If schools want to run athletic departments like they are corporations chasing the all-mighty dollar, then welcome to the free market.

Tough for me, have to get son from soccer practice then fly up 81. not enough time for pre game activities.

I'm going and bringing three non fans from Albany. I had to promise them Bob Barker hot dogs.

It really is beating a dead horse but worth the discussion. We either need to get better, get competitive or schedule lighter because the starch is being taken out of our season early on, every year, it seems.

Why would anyone want to watch this team aside from diehards? They have no identity, commit stupid penalties, can't score and are never competitive unless its against our "peer group" or lesser competition.

ND is not Alabama or FSU and we couldn't even keep it exciting for more than a quarter. It's one thing to lose, it's another to look totally helpless in doing so, and that is why this team will forever struggle to get fans into the Dome until they put a better product on the field.

Agree completely. The MD game really killed the buzz. Barring an upset over Clemson, 35K will be it for the rest of the year.

BC beat USC and only got 35k last week.
Not surprising. BC fans only turn out for big games, and for those they usually stroll in late in the 1st quarter because they've been getting plowed outside.

35k? Look at you the glass half full optomist O in B...;)

I think the crowd this week and FSU should be solid. What happens this month will determine if the November games are miserable or not.

I'd suggest that SU hold out a pair of 100-level Duke hoops tickets along with an autographed Boeheim item to raffle to someone in the Dome for both the Duke and NC State fb games.

Like Louisville?

To the extent that fans anywhere view the team and the games as a product, the program suffers.

The seats should be full. If someone has to exert pressure on the administration, it should be big donors and others with pull. The seats should be full.

It is a product. They sell merchandise and it costs money to go to games. If the product is poor, demand is less (SU Football). If the product is impressive, demand is high (SU Basketball).

As I posted before, the school needs that one great season to turn the opinion of the program. It was 2001 since we finished in the top 25 and late 90s since we were consistently good. Fans 25 and younger can barely remember it and think of SU in terms of what we have watched the last 13 years.

So what are we thinking for crowd? 42k announced 37k actual?

Its going to take a healthy walk up to get there. Being a night game it could happen.

I thought we were talking sell out

45 k my prediction... What people gave back all of their tickets? Thought we were at 42 k last week????

It's the University's way of promoting the new gray uniforms. Once people see all the empty gray/silver seats tonight, people will realize that if enough people start buying the gray apparel and ditching the orange, the empty seats won't be as noticeable. Then we'll be like Georgetown and have our Gray-outs and the dome will look full.

Don't tell Bees.

Hi there

Michigan-promo.jpg

That sure makes your season ticket holders happy when they have to pay a $1000 donation to the school for the right to buy tickets.
