Our philosophy for offense needs to be scrapped.

It doesn’t work consistently. Leave the D along but the offense needs to change.
JB you are a HOFer and legend but have to change the offense. Just like in 2010 he went exclusive 100% zone. He needs that on offense.

Our approach tonight wasn’t any different than any other teams against a 2-3 zone.

We are a weak passing team outside of Howard and our 4-5 is incredibly weak. Frank and Tyus need to be great every night for us to win against good teams.

We need Carmelo and John Wallace at the forwards and the offense will look great. It's the same offense since 1996. When JB gets great talent it works. When we have "limited" talent it doesn't. He doesn't make major changes to his scheme to fit his talent...only minor adjustments. It's very dependent on having talent. And we have a scarcity this year, which we all know.

A dynamic forward is essential. OB isn't quite there yet, but next year with Bazley, they could be a truly dynamic duo.

It is just sad how bad we are against a zone. I know you have to have shooters but as we play it 100% of the time it is sad how inept the team plays against it.

Nobody moves with any purpose without the ball, which is critical against a zone. Thats a matter of discipline.

I think every team going forward has to wonder why they don’t try to zone us. Duke pretty much stood still with their hands up the whole time and we still had no clue. It’s embarrassing.

Long summary short. Ball movement and player movement happens a lot. Plenty of not good but excellent looks didnt make em. Plenty good passes mainly first 30 minutes. Go play men's league w your ball movement etc thats fine but my middle school team is more athletic. Lets get the next 2 and the next 2. Sadly, enjoyed this game somehow.
