That is correct - 6,000 diehard fans made more noise than at almost any game I have ever attended at the Dome. And stood up for nearly the whole game. If we ever had a crowd of 35,000 do what we did that night, we'd all be deaf! A classic game I will never forget. And for those who feel that the NCAA Tournament is the only thing that matters, you should have been there that night. Simply put - an amazing game!

We we we we we we we we we we we we! And proud of it! Didn't attend Syracuse or grow up in Syracuse. Been a fan my whole life since I remember being a fan of anything. I know there are bigger fans but I refuse to let others dictate my level of fandom.

The loudest I've ever heard the Dome for basketball, (and I was at that Butler game), was for the 3/19/81 Michigan NIT game. We'd never beaten the Wolverines but we made the first 16 shots of the second half, not missing until there were 6 minutes left in the game and won 91-76. Most of those shots would now be 3 pointers. The crowd noise built up and up and up with each made shot taking it to a new level until i started to wonder about the roof of the building. But it stayed up and the memory of the exhilaration I felt that day has never left me. It made anything seem possible. The attendance that day was 20,695. We were a "we" that night.

You've gotta be sh!tting me!

How do I not get a mention for dropping the BIRG and CORF?

Damn you Brent!!

I honestly feel bad for people that are above the "we" in sports. I wonder if they can find true enjoyment in anything or if the have to rationalize everything.

If you thought of the SU basketball team and yourself as "we" in 1981/82 or 1996/97 then I have absolutely no trouble with you doing so in 2002/03 or 2012/13 or this year.

This is, of course, said tongue-in-cheek.

Sort of.
