I’d ask about pressing earlier or more often to try to speed them up. Against Virginia, you gotta take big swings/chances to win. It’s worth the risk. We shoulda pressed way more of the first and second half and cycled in more players like Jesse, Braswell and Woody to keep bodies fresh.

With Buddy, Joe and Alan, we should be so much better at 3 point shooting. We should be getting better shots. JB really struggles to coach offense. We need more complexity and creativity in our offense, but JB always resists and wants to keep it simple stupid.

Yeah I agree. He says these are good open looks but 75 percent are either not in rhythm or contested. When joe steps into one it’s a beautiful thing

Yeah I am pretty sure less people would be complaining about Buddy if we actually used him corrrectly. JB is killing his own son because he’s turned him into an inefficient isolation player and that doesn’t play to his strengths at all. Our overall offensive plan has not evolved over time as the game has evolved.

He’s be forced to play Kadary and it could not be worse than they are zone. Would also allow griffin to play to his athleticism and maybe marek wouldn’t get killed so much. We are just terrible in the zone.

JB is a good person. He may be a jerk to people but he cares what the fans think.

Maybe that’s the separation that Joe was alluding to. More space between him and the guy he’s pretending to guard.

The answer to that is actually a resounding, "yes." Our press was very effective. Obviously not something you can do for 40 minutes because of fouls/fatigue/JB's stubbornness to go more than 7 deep. But man - our press caused some real fits. I wish we would do that for 4-5 min each half. Get Bras, Woody (when healthy), Kadary on the court & and speed them up. UVA looked awful 3 straight possessions. We just didn't capitalize on the turnovers, unfortunately.

This is my opinion, but it's based off of the lack of m2m defense. Yes, I know Boeheim plays 95+% zone defense. It's 2021 and teams are shooting and making threes like never before in the history of basketball. So many times opposing teams have just shot lights out against Syracuse, but there's never an adjustment. Why is that?

Good start to the question. But all you have to say is Jim what do you say about the perception that you allow Buddy to play through mistakes that you wouldn't allow current or past players play through. There is a developing feeling amongst the fan base of Nepotism.

I would definitely leave out the nepotism word. You can say- my friends keep saying that Buddy seems to have a separate set of rules and able to play though mistakes and bad shots, but I've been sticking up for you. Why do you think they say that?

Just because he prefers not to play M2M doesn't mean they can't play M2M. That's all I was saying/implying.
