Tommy D

People leave TD alone right now.
He is hurt.
His dad posts here no need to bait him as stuff said about his son rightfully has to cause a reaction to him.
If you got a comment on him beyond stuff on the field send his dad a PM and be respectful.
We don’t need to charge up his dad.

I didnt join a message board so we could curate our comments based on a parent being here. I think that's a very dangerous precedent to set. If Tommy's dad is posting here he's a big enough boy to realize this thing is run on emotion and less than ideal information since we're all fans.

I think plenty of people are respectful. It's completely reasonable for people to question the position regardless of the info we have or don't have. I am pro TD and hope he stays and kicks *ss for us next year but to suggest people can't speak b/c his dad is here is crazy

I don’t mind at all the comments because 90% of them the people don’t know the facts anyway it’s a free country they could say what they want it doesn’t bother me at all it frustrates me that people overlook the obvious but I can’t change peoples opinions right or wrong people should fear my large arms but other than that I’m a nice honest hard-working guy despite the idiocy here I still enjoy the board

My post was related to the fact your son is hurt.
When a player is injured leave them alone.

I have stated I want more options at QB so I am not above stating what I believe but when a player is hurt leave them alone as parents can get triggered by that stuff. That was my point if you don’t care then good for you.

What he said to me was just wanting to start a fight I don’t care to go down. People can give their opinions but when a player is out injured it’s not the right time IMO.

Tommy probably IS a great kid. And on paper, he looks like he ought to be a great quarterback. But lots of kids pass the look test and just don't pan out. And in Tommy's defense, the offensive lines he's worked with have been patchwork MAC level lines at best. It's a classic chicken and egg thing, but I think we all with this young man the best and we certainly all wish he'd turn into the next Trevor Lawrence. These past 2 years have been Gerg-level brutal as a fan of over 40 years.

no. Gerg was 1000% worse.

I'm not saying the last two years have been good, but it's not close to the disaster that was Greg Robinson.

On the look test, it's Gerg level bad. I get what you're saying, Go, and I've followed your posts on these boards since the inception of, well, these boards back to when they began. I know you're a numbers guy and overall an optimist. But the record, the empty seats, the recruiting misses, it all adds up to disaster to the outside football world as well as the casually interested CNY community.

Most fans ain't numbers guys when it comes to passionate fandom. They're feels people and things just don't feel good. I know- there's hope and we need faith. This debacle- rational though the reasons my be- is just sucking the life out of a large portion of the fanbase- even lifers. Yes, the recruiting class on paper now looks good but fans and coaches see the constant mental errors, the decade plus of, for the most part, futility, and the program is perceived as deeply troubled. And as a quarterback, Tommy Devito will feel the brunt of it just as much as ED got the credit for bailing the team out.

We were last out of 130 teams giving up sacks last year , we have given up 23 this year if we played 12 we are on pace for 55 11 more than our national worst from last year injuries injuries injuries
I can’t say much more without getting criticized. People bring up all our woes and in the next sentence forget them and rip tommy
I said it once I’ll say it again it’s all cause and effect . Did anybody watch Alabama Saturday vs Georgia ? Mac Jones doesn’t have Tommy’s skill set threw average balls did you see the catch after catch after catch they made him look like a pro . 400 plus yards passing , 1 sack , running game now I know we don’t have Alabama talent but ...
I can’t win no Matter what I say and I actually give you guys to much . I’m an open guy I speak my mind but I realize I can’t .
Tommy has unfinished business at cuse
He and I want to win here ! We are loyal , handshake hard working people . Tommy deserves much much much better and I’m sure coach is going to make that happen .
Being a fan isn’t easy hang in there .
This is pretty interesting because, and I hope, the staff has been gearing up for free agency in 2021. Ok, there are recruiting hurdles that cuse faces, so I hope they planned ahead and will plow resources into sourcing talent from the portal. In my opinion that's our only hope. Get the guys buried on the blue bloods rosters, give them a fresh start, hope they play to their potential and win. Win that way and you will bring in recruits and this thing can actually get rolling.
