other than ucla inclusion the committee did a good job selecting teams
LOL UCLA at 42 is a joke.
Look at Providence's resume and Georgetown's and yet one is a 4 seed and the other is a 6 seed.
Yeah I mean I saw no difference between Butler, Georgetown, and Providence. Providence swept Georgetown, Georgetown beat Butler 2 of 3, and Butler split with Providence. I just don't get that logic. I guess Utah losing to Oregon knocked them down from a 5 to 4. If Utah were the 4 and Gtown the 5 atleast that could have made sense.I had Georgetown as the 4th best team in the Big East -- a 7 seed. The matrix had them as a 6.

I think Jay Bilas really frustrates Dickie V. He will actually dispute Vitale if he thinks he's wrong when he is going on one of his rants about who got snubbed during the selection show. It was Murray State this year.
I don't even know why they bother publishing these lists. When you move a team for travel reasons then show it -- that is the whole purporse of the list. They admitted some lower seeded teams would be moved of the s-curve for travel from time to time and then they don't bother showing it.
It's pretty obvious to anyobdy that compared resumes that Eastern Washington was not a 13 seed. Just like Montana was not a 13 seed a few years ago and we benefitted from it. All the Western Pods were to host 13 or 15 seeds... so you moved them around. That was what you said you might do... just . . . . ng admit you did it.
I had ole miss out for Colorado state and temple clearly over uclaI tend to disagree a bit. Colorado St and Temple were both clearly better picks then BYU in my view.
BYU had a bad resume
4-6 vs top 100
1 top 50 win
3 bad losses.
The win at Gonzaga was huge. But it's not enough by itself to get you in.
Sure Colorado St was missing that Gonzaga game, but they were 5-5 vs top 100, and only had 1 bad loss. 2 top 50 wins. It's not overwhelming, but it's easily separable from BYU IMO. I have never seen a committee seemingly judgmentally ignore bad losses like this one.
Ole Miss had 4 bad losses. 4!!! How many bad losses are some of these teams allowed?
If bad losses didn't matter, might as well included Old Dominion. They got eliminated because they had 5 bad losses.
But they were 6-2 vs top 100, including OOC wins vs VCU, LSU, and Georgia St (a 13 seed), and Richmond (a solid NIT Team).

I had us over ucla and were ineligibleI think we can agree most people had someone clearly over UCLA!!
They also have to account for the BYU no play on Sunday rule.
Think we would have been a lock if we won 2 games in Greensboro; hell, even 1 win in Greensboro puts us on the cusp.
Wonder if wins vs. @ND, Louisville and Iowa would have been enough.
byu is in safe place for no play on sunday
Utah isn't that good there okI don't see how Dook got a walk. Utah is the only good 4/5 seed other than N. Iowa.
UVA got hosed pretty good; Sparty & OU just to get to the E8, ouch.
