like that money and more plus wouldn't be there in april. enjoy the d league.
but hey it's "all about the dollar season" so let's celebrate with this classic...

Alfred, Macy janitor: Yeah, there's a lot of bad 'isms' floatin' around this world, but one of the worst is commercialism. Make a buck, make a buck. Even in Brooklyn it's the same - don't care what Christmas stands for, just make a buck, make a buck.
Great movie, but Ennis was just striking while the iron was hot.

IMO, the downside potential of injury and/or fully exposing his weaknesses far outweighed the potential to move up significantly in the draft by returning. He made the same decision most of us (perhaps even Alfred) would have made given his situation.

because, after all, its all about you, isn't it?

Be careful what you wish for, or you won't even get one year out of the likes of Thomas Bryant. More and more of them are going to follow the path blazed by Brandon Jennings, Jeremy Tyler and Emmanuel Mudiay. Athletes have a very short window in which to earn money from their talents; there is absolutely no reason they should be playing for free (or for the peanuts that "free education" really represents).

That would be fantastic.

If all the 18-year-olds who are anxious to become professionals are able to do that without participating in this "amateurism" charade, I believe the level of play in college basketball would, over time, improve. Assuming, of course, that someone gets a handle on the officiating problem.

Well seeing as how the first two years of his 4 year contract are guaranteed (for a total of $3.25 million in those two years, mind you), that would be impressive if he was out of the league after one year.

How much does a good NBA player make?

Too bad NBA teams don't have weight rooms in their facilities.

Two bad he can't re-enter the draft after two years and get noticed again. It's going to be an up hill climb for TE. Maybe he will get lucky and get traded to the Raptors.

But hey, he made more in two years than I will make in my lifetime. Good for him.

So it's a guarantee that his stock would have stayed the same in two years? McAdoo would love to have a chat with you and his stock was much much higher than Ennis.

I will disagree with your opinion. My opinion is Ennis would have had a better chance for a longer lasting career in the NBA if he played college at least one more year. Yes, there could have been a chance the Orange had an epic failure of season and Ennis went undrafted. But again, as I said, in my opinion, he did not look like an NBA guard.

Better to develop in the d league and get one more year of income otherwise lost by staying in school.
