Yep. Shafer is going to lose some sleep this season thinking about that one. Especially if we are struggling for a Bowl game in the last couple of weeks. The year we played GTech in the Kickoff Classic the same damn thing happened. We wasted two or three games with the wrong QB under center. Very winnable games.

Water under the bridge at this point. Hopefully it's Hunt the rest of the way. I know there are still doubters out there (he played against NW's back-ups and Wagner), but Allen also played against both of those units. Hunt was clearly the better player on the field. I don't so much blame Allen as I do the bad combination of new QB and rookie OC. Hunt knows the base offense and can turn dead plays into positive yardage. Plus it seems like he isn't shy about running something different if the look isn't right. Allen seems to go with whatever comes in from the sidelines.

UCF is a good fball team. In game 1 they blitzed the same Akron team that had a rb not cut back on an outside run in the last 20 seconds they would have knocked of michigan at michigan today... just saying.

based on the big east bowl agreements at the time (2001) If SU wins one of those games the Gator Bowl would've been forced to take SU
