So what is UNCs excuse and about half the league at this point ? Almost everyone needs 1-2 more guards but cant find them. JG is an ACC level guard whether we want to except it. that doesnt mean he is an elite ACC level guard.
Oh I do take exception.JG is an ACC level guard whether we want to except it.
he was better last night that the kids UNC rolled out there.Oh I do take exception.
He wouldn't start on any other ACC team. He might see backup minutes for a bottom-dwelling team like BC, maybe.
Bottom line he would be a better fit in a non-power 5 league. JB should sit him down and be blunt - lose 30 lbs off-season, never sniff another donut and be content playing 10 minutes a night, or good luck someplace else.
We can disagree. Joe needs a total body, mind, and spirit makeover if we wants to stick around next year.he was better last night that the kids UNC rolled out there.
Did you notice UNC played 6 guards last night?he was better last night that the kids UNC rolled out there.
yup because the all played poorly he played them all.Did you notice UNC played 6 guards last night?
SU has 3 on the roster
That right there is a serious issue of depth and roster management.
They should have recruited one in the class of 21 last spring when Goodine transferred, but what do I know?
He needs an Emily Engstler makeover if he wants to help this team next year. And revoke his Dunkin membership.I want Girard to stay. Speak for yourself.
Double digit scoring isn’t impressive with the amount of shooting he does. He’s not good. Why, as fans, do we constantly chase players off?
Goodine was not an ACC calibre guard yet everyone clamored for him to play.
Girard’s going on two years of double digit scoring and was almost on the ACC’s all freshman team. But we think he’s not acc calibre and better luck to ya in the Ivy’s?
I’m with you, but only if Joe is used to spell buddy at the two. Emergency usage at point, but I’d prefer a legit backup to Richmond.
We should get another PG to backup Kadary, keep Girard and move him to SG
Absolutely a fine player to play 10-20mpg off the bench. Sometimes more, sometimes less. That's exactly who I thought he would be.
I will say it again. I expected 0 mpg last year. I expected 10-15mpg this year. This was based on who was in front of him when he came in. Still only in year 2.
The minutes he has been thrust into, is warping people's thoughts on the player he is, and was supposed to be when he signed here.
I think this is the right way to think about it.Absolutely a fine player to play 10-20mpg off the bench. Sometimes more, sometimes less. That's exactly who I thought he would be.
