We'll play in a bowl next season

Need a QB and a downfield threat on O. May need a DL too depending on who comes back. I think a Bowl given what we have right now on paper is asking a lot.
I think we’re going to have a much improved line and TD is going to ball.

If Taj can tone it down, even a little bit, he’s an all ACC receiver. Hopefully Queeley continues to develop and we can have someone competent in the slot.

Tucker is going to be insane. The future is bright

Worried about QB play. Feel there are also too many barriers to other positions as well... d line for me was disappointing. O line was good today but not on the season. Receivers also lack skill... I will go way too early 4-8/5-7

No, we need an OL. Tommy with a good OL is fine to get us to a bowl. Still think a couple of seasoned OL via Transfer/JUCO would be prudent.

I'd love to get another downfield WR threat, but what we have if pretty good (assuming Harris & Nykeim return).

Holding my breath to see who on the DL comes back and who we get via Transfer/JUCO.

There are brighter days ahead. Keep the commits from this class, convince the nucleus that we have to stay, and get a solid QB and we will be good. This year for the young guys may be the blessing in disguise.

All comes down to linemen. Can we develop a cohesive unit of offensive line that will push people around and do the younger defensive linemen step up (or a few seniors stick around)? If so, the pieces will be in place. Every other area seems to look better in the future but the play on the offensive line especially sabbatoged this team.

IMO Devito is a great thrower, decent to good passer, but a mediocre overall QB. If he develops then IMO next year he can he a great thrower, good to great passer, and decent to good QB. Not sure that is enough for us to get a Bowl. I do think the year after he could develop into a great thrower, great passer, and good to great QB. I think he is two years away from stardom whether here or elsewhere. That is IF he develops. I think he has too big a jump to make it next year though.

If TD were ND's QB today he gets sacked 8 times and has 4 WR drops. Sound familiar? Sometimes the QB needs to make plays.

We allowed only 17 sacks the last 7 games of the season. So how much does the pass blocking need to improve?

ing and run blocking have to be

We need an OL that can impose its will on the defense - OK, just a little bit. Both pass blocking and run blocking have to be consistent. And, 3 and 1 should never be a question mark.

That won't happen next year and likely won't the year after either. Takes a while to build an OL.

You are being pessimistic. Give it a few days and you should appreciate that they played the #2 team in the country tough and would have made a close game of it if not for a totally inept QB. And all that with a VERY young, inexperienced team that can only get better. I can honestly see a big step forward next year.

I liked the game overall today. Defense will be even better next year. I thought Gilbert called a good game, he seems to be installing more plays and seemed to keep ND off balance. And we had two 100 yard rushers

Need to get a QB in portal otherwise it’ll be J Morgan, Tex and the new guy next year

How about hurries?
