Ugly first half but we locked in and blew out a P5 school. Liked the fire from Red and an awesome showing to kick off this important stretch.
Cuffe needs more run alsodon't understand why Copeland doesn't get more run. I just feel like there's more energy when he's on the floor. And that behind the back pass was sweet.
JJ was awful, selfish, TO machine 0/6 from fieldBoth jj and jt were duds out there tonight. Jj in particular just seems to be losing confidence. Thought Gerry was supposed to fix his shooting mechanics?

Then how does it get fixed? More surgery? It’s not mechanics, it’s structural.

I think he's our leading rebounder this season.JT went 2-5 from the arc with 7 boards. He was our 2nd highest rebounder.
He had 5 good looks from 3. Got hit at a higher clip when you’re open. Not a fan of his shooting form at all. But otherwise I thought he played smart and hustled.JT went 2-5 from the arc with 7 boards. He was our 2nd highest rebounder.
What was the rebound margin in the second half? I think we were trailing by 5 at halftime. That was a huge difference in keeping the run going. Tremendous effort to get the second half going.
Not sure it does. Then how does it get fixed? More surgery?
We can rebuild him. We have the technology. Then how does it get fixed? More surgery?
i thought tonight he may have figured something out and not gone for the highlight reel play every time. the one he tried worked to perfection. less is morecopeland makes as many dumb plays as good plays. he needs a better ratio.
I agree with the frustration around JJ but I think the answer is more likely Cuffe or Copeland that Taylor. I like the kid, works hard, can knock down a shot. But I really struggle to say what it is he does genuinely well.JJ doesn’t seem to compliment Judah. If anything he’s the same player just not as good - would love to give JT a shot at the 2 and MB get 35 minutes a night at the 4/5.
We can’t lose JJ mentally though since he’s our backup point this yr and likely next yr
I have no ideas with Benny. Really need his rebounding. Everything else including apparently attitude-type stuff is a disaster. And again, Benny’s a good rebounder but far from great.Cope needs more PT. If he could learn to reduce his turnovers he would be very good. No one else could have pulled off that behind the back pass in traffic.
JJ should be our point guard backup. Seems like his shoulder injury killed his jump shot.
For the sake of rebounding Benny needs more time at PF.
Brown is our best option at the 5.
What about Copeland do you like to take the two best shooters off the floor? Cuffe has a nice shot, I get that. But Copeland doesn’t shoot well and makes at least one bad play for every good play. He’s not a 2 for sure. He rebounds pretty well, and can drive the ball, but he’s got a tendency to get in foul trouble quickly.I agree with the frustration around JJ but I think the answer is more likely Cuffe or Copeland that Taylor. Like, the rebounding. Kid has been battling and working hard on the glass. Obviously giving up some size. But, it’s also true that he’s simply not a great rebounder. He looks like Dennis Rodman next to Chris Bell and McLeod, but that’s another issue for another thread …

Not sure what the right answer is to all this stuff but I’m experimenting more with Cuffe and Cope. Want to see what I might be able to get. Have to be patient with both b/c bad things will happen … but I like both of their games too. A little more athleticism, a little more confidence than Taylor, little more well-rounded than bell.
Ok then we’re still in the 30-day return window right? Not sure it does.
And he battled on D against a much bigger guy. He also makes the extra pass ( probably because he's not confident in his shot) but sharing the ball was key in second half.JT went 2-5 from the arc with 7 boards. He was our 2nd highest rebounder.
I would not take Bell off the floor. Less time for Taylor and JJ. Taylor takes too long to get his shot off. What about Copeland do you like to take the two best shooters off the floor? Would have been interesting to see how Cope did defending that 6’10” guy.I would not take Bell off the floor. Less time for Taylor and JJ. Taylor takes too long to get his shot off.
