Who is Damien Alford?

We've already been forcing the issue with Alford. Dude plays a lot of snaps. He's as likely as anyone to lose some snap share.
I though about this a lot yesterday. Shrader almost never looks at Alford. He definitely doesn’t throw the jump ball to Alford like Dungey used to Ish, Amba and Custis.
Let’s see how Damian does with CDRW this week.
Also Alford is a willing blocker and has worked hard on his technique. Not sure Hatcher and Adams are as sound in blocking.

So, again, I really don't want it to come across as though I'm ripping the dude, but we say on the board a lot that Alford is a good blocker, and when you see the size that seems reasonable, but... is he actually a good blocker? Or is that just the best explanation we have as to why he plays so much but catches less than a pass a game?

No I think he’s a good blocker. I’ve def noticed Alford blocking downfield for Tucker or Shrader.
It’s a mystery why he doesn’t get or catch more balls. I like the Custis comparison. Felt like we waited forever for Custis to finally make an impact.
Hoping Alford follows similar path

All I know is Cooper shouldn’t be on the field anymore and we need to see some other players. Just can’t drop every single ball that comes to you.
Cooper, Jackson, and Pena should all sit, and let the newer players play at WR.
Maybe one or two might actually make a couple plays.

Spot on, Cooper needs to sit but Alford as a starter inna D1 team is averaging less then a catch a game. That is insane, time for someone else.
