Think it was just a seasonal update, like the State of the Nation address type of a thing.
Signs of progress? We haven’t exactly set the world on fire football-wise, so why not mention it? It’s just facts."Says if both SU and N.C. State are still ranked on Oct. 15, it’ll be the first time in 21 years two ranked football programs play at the Dome." Ouch!!!
Two-tiered toughs like bunk beds2 words: Pee troughs.
More pee troughs.
you act like i dont know the details of what went on the last 10 yrs with the wifi.. And I wasnt wrong in what i said is going on now.. We have more than one issue , but its fine if we just want to focus on hopefully happens soon when JMA provides a solution. You couldn’t be more wrong. Just like the Wi-Fi installation if you don’t know details you just assume the worst and take shots at SU.
I'd rather that the past XX anni horribili not be mentioned. Why remind the world how bad we have been?Signs of progress? We haven’t exactly set the world on fire football-wise, so why not mention it? It’s just facts.
Oh dear god I hope not
His 5-0 is great but we aren’t in a bowl game yet
All those players were taken care of with NIL deals, otherwise they wouldn’t all be here. The program is headed in the right direction and has been for more than a minute.
Don’t let the gauntlet the team is facing make you so crazy you forget Coach Babers has this program going in the right direction.
+ Defense is playing very well and has improved annually for the past few years.
+ Offense is balanced and has improved. We still have work to do here. Let’s see if the run game game be competitive over the next 3 games.
+ Special teams, Oh my… thank you, thank you, thank you for being wise enough to hire Coach Lig.
+ Recruiting. No not freshman recruiting, although we picked up a couple of nice pieces (Allen), but portal recruiting (Clark and Johnson standout the most to me) and most important retention recruiting. We were able to not lose any of our big names to the portal; Tucker, Williams, Jones, Bergeron, Chestnut etc…. You can’t tell me these guys weren’t approached by other programs trying to get them to leave Syracuse. You have to give Babers and his staff credit for creating a culture where those guys would want to stay. Hands down, a completed underrated quality of Coach Babers.
Babers has built this roster, he’s built this coaching staff and the program is headed in the right direction.
If you can’t see this, I can’t help you.
For me, it really doesn't matter why were are having sound issues in the Dome. I don't need to know the technical details.you act like i dont know the details of what went on the last 10 yrs with the wifi.. And I wasnt wrong in what i said is going on now.. We have more than one issue , but its fine if we just want to focus on hopefully happens soon when JMA provides a solution.
Where did I take shots.. I have had many discussions with people at SU about things like this.
I said if you want people to feel good about what is going on with the sound then give them an answer thats more than Pete is working on it. Because time has shown failures in many areas and I think many on this board have taken shots at him and the public around town has a low opinion and that also ignores probably many good things that are getting done we dont even know about..
SU could be doing all the right things but getting the message out isnt always one of them.
the FACT is that going to a Wireless solution may turn out great but it also exposes a huge security risk no different than what happens when you walk thru destiny. WIFI is a terrible solution in a public setting but it may be lightening fast.
I guess you can take it as “ This is Big “ or “Ouch” guess it’s a glass half full or empty."Says if both SU and N.C. State are still ranked on Oct. 15, it’ll be the first time in 21 years two ranked football programs play at the Dome." Ouch!!!

Or they’re dumping Dino and promoting Anae and Beck and extending White and Monroe lolDino extension?

Thats because he isI like Wildhack, he comes across as smart and competent.
Actually his overall record is 33-33 at this point removing the covid year when we were one player away from the inability to field a team. Not great, but far from atrocious.I’m not going to let his 5-0 start this season get him off the hook
If he loses the next 7 he will be right back on the hot seat for me
His overall W/L record is atrocious and is even worse if you look at his ACC record.
He’s cooled his seat for sure so far this season but he’s still on notice.
I’ve said from the start of the season I’ll give him this plus next season due to the new coaches…
You are wrong about the new Wifi solution and security risks.
Based on JMA's comments to date where they said the solution here will be the same or better than Sofi, we will be getting a Wifi 6 solution here.
Almost surely Wifi 6e. That is what Sofi has.
Not sure how much you know about Wifi. I am no expert.
But Wi-Fi 6E devices, like all Wi-Fi 6 devices, require WPA3 security certification.
The fact is, people using their phones for Wifi at JMA will be a lot safer than they are using them at home, or anywhere in public in CNY.

It would be great if someone from JMA or someone involved with the Wifi install at the dome could weigh in with more details.

Agree with extension talk being frankly ridiculous, but the covid year was a lot more than “overcoming obstacles” and you will never know what a “normal year” would have looked like playing a standard schedule with a home field advantage in 6 of the games, a full roster, more than six offensive lineman, a spring practice schedule, a full preseason practice schedule with two new coordinators rather than most practices limited to a handful of players with their position coach, installing new concepts on the practice field rather than via zoom, a number of players on the two deep opting out, multiple illnesses and who knows how many injuries caused by the inability to follow regular strength and conditioning regimens. Not to mention the psychological toll of trying to focus on school and football while hundreds of miles away from loved ones while a global pandemic raged hospitalizing thousands every day. We never should have played in 2020 and if it wasn’t to protect needed funding from tv contracts we undoubtedly would not have. But once again, not calling for his firing just saying an extension is a bit premature at this point
There are a few very knowledgeable people of this system on here. With JMA's system I'd focus more on the cellular wireless connectivity it's going to bring and less on WiFi 6. The WiFi should ultimately improve with this role out just because there will be less congestion on the system, but where you'll notice the biggest improvement is with your cellular carrier. The thing you have to hope for is that multiple carriers (T-Mobile, ATT, Verizon) get on board so SU covers as many customers as possible. And yes, before anyone argues with me, you need the wireless carriers on board for these systems to work. You are wrong about the new Wifi solution and security risks.

Inaccurate take on the COVID yearI won’t remove the Covid year
I get they had to overcome obstacles but I think that year plays out the way it did even if it’s a normal year. The writing was on the wall after the 2019 season
Soooo, what’s your point? You say this like it’s a bad thing. All those players were taken care of with NIL deals, otherwise they wouldn’t all be here.
I’m not saying that at all. I’m thankful that people have stepped up in this NIL environment. SU has to play the game like everyone else.Soooo, what’s your point? You say this like it’s a bad thing.
