Well a different coach may play Kingz at the 2. I’d be hard pressed to think we would be any worse in second half’s than we are now.

The original plan I heard was that John and Kent were both retiring this summer. Maybe with KS leaving early the plan was scuttled.

Personally, I like JW and hope he stays on and takes care of the hoops situation. We'll see.

I don’t see how Wildhack is going anywhere at this point. The new chancellor hire hasn’t even been announced or finalized. We’re gonna need a new coach in less than two months and Wildhack’s main job will be to hire a new basketball coach. Hopefully he’s already deep in that process and jockeying behind the scenes. He’s gonna have to steer the ship through these waters, and he’s gonna have to work hard to find the funds to lure Schertz (or other top candidates) and sell all the upsides and positives of the job if need be.

I would go a step further and barring ADJW replacement already being on campus, I would wager that ADJW is probably staying on another 3 years at least. No way do we get the type of coach we want without certainty in the AD office for a period of time. If the coach doesn't get the sense there is leadership stability and with that stability alignment on philosophies and such, no one would come here. My prediction is our new coach will meet with the future Chancellor, get assurance on ADJW and will meet with both big ticket donors and a couple reps from the BoT who perhaps are on an AD subcommittee or something. Like Tirico maybe. I also think we will get whomever we target.

The irony in this is hilarious but sure Dash this program totally isn’t embarrassing at any level, any event or has multiple violations and probations that many of yall would consider embarrassing. The entire circus around Toosi is embarrassing. JB family ball and being nepo-u was and is embarrassing. The worst coach in the conference is embarrassing. The ist goes on and on and on of what could be considered more or equal to as embarrassing as what Hodgson said. He’s your number 1 choice still, so this argument seems pretty pointless.
