Phat — so now your point is that Gilbert learned what he had coming in (from Dino and the continuing position coaches) but it did not mean jack?
Any head coach, any OC new or otherwise, would go through that same process over the course of a season. You have a QB change when Devito goes down, then a second loss with Rex out, then Morgan, and back to Rex. You change the game plan with what the QB can do. You adjust the game plan with what the opposing defense has and what they do. And Dino is as much a part of that as his OC, maybe more.
Minor point, but I suspect some new OCs come in and move their receivers around day 1. Try different routes. See what works in practice.
You might say it took three years in a new coordinator to recognize it
Definitely prefer Taj in the middle of the field with room to run instead of trying to not get knocked out of bounds on the sidelines.so you agree with me. They started going with Taj in the slot 2 months ago, but they really started to emphasize it the last couple of games. his skill set is clearly more suited to that role.

I’ll add in terms of lynch overall and and lustigs ability to develop wide receivers. I would give both of them their walking papers

I would like to see Morris used as a hybrid WR/TE
Lustig is a good coach. I wouldn’t let that guy walk

Agree, Lustig is widely respected and a number of teams have tried to hire him away from us, including Penn State.I hope lustig stays where he is. He does an excellent job with special teams

Coaches moving a player to a different role is not one of my biggest factors in determining if they are a good coach or not. There could be many reasons why they waited to put them there. One could be the development of other guys at the outside wr position. Its also a possibility that the positional coach could have been over ruled by the OC or HC. Might have to make sacrifices in the moment until you can fully commit to the something that could be more benefitial down the road. I have no idea what the coaches are thinking Im just finding other ways to look at it.I wouldn’t replace him either and he’s a good recruiter. I would move him into lynches role and go with a high-quality good recruiting wide receiver coach preferably a guy from Florida
And that’s why we’re all so thankful you aren’t the guy who makes these decisions.
Lustig is also our ST’s coordinator.
Our fairly consistently good to great ST’s.
Lynch? I’m neither for nor against him, but he’s definitely not irreplaceable.
IF we can upgrade there, I’d be all for it.
Coaches don't hear near as well as they see.have you ever coached?
Which is great.Apparently these kids would charge into a burning house and storm the gates of hell for Lynch.
I’ve heard that from multiple inside sources
He was RB this year. Pleasant surprise with Tucker and Lutz.Which is great.
But, uh, you know, maybe something so dramatic isn't needed. Maybe, just like, uh... block better.
Yes. I don’t mind him flexing his biceps on the field and dancing around after a bigplay because he is still a young man. He appeared to play better when he is fired up. What I don’t like is him throwing his hands in the air after an incompletion (miscommunication between him and TD or RC) and giving the camera the middle finger on national television.I’ve not seen anything on this forum about Taj’s outbursts causing friction in the locker room. Just fans embarrassed by his poor choices at times. Including me. This is a good opportunity for him to correct that and make sure everyone know he really is ready to be a professional at the next level. Can’t wait to see that.
I agree. Love his energy but it gets him in trouble. If u catch 100% of the balls thrown ur way then u can throw ur hands up like a 13 year old but not till it’s 100%.Yes.
