If Dino gets Rocky Long to leave being a HC in freaking San Diego to his DC then we are paying real money or he has a serious issue that could get him fired. Rocky Long makes 800k as HC of SDSU. If we are paying that for him to DC. Good freaking job Dino and Wildhack.

I think I had heard last year on the PAPN podcast (?) that Rocky might be moving on at some point due to the grind.

He's turning 70 in a few weeks and the farthest east he's ever coached is 2 seasons at TCU ('88-'90).

I am surprised by the OC and DC hires. Cignetti has bounced around from job to job, never finding a place he has been wanted long term. Not a good sign. Got fired from his last job because they wanted to run the ball better. Not a good thing for a BC OC.

The DC, the inexperienced guy from Colgate, might be good but wow, he is really inexperienced for a coordinator job at a P5 school. Hafley either wants to run the show and have a puppet he can work with or BC has no budget for assistants.

The contrast between what Rutgers and BC are doing is big. It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference down the road.
