Thanks. Gotta say, very surprised were only playing 12 games again. Was really hoping we would bump that up to 13. I don't think we could go past that mark with all of the scrimmages we play but man 12 is bare bones. Also not a huge fan of the back to back to back early March schedule of JHU, Rutty and Duke, brutal stretch.

Hope that helps

It helps, big time! Nothing we weren't expecting, but it is kind of a daunting schedule to look at. They really need to finish the first four games undefeated, and will have a number of tough games the rest of the year. I think SU will be a better team than last year, but right now its hard to tell what to make of their opponents.

I think Albany will be better - Nanticoke seems like hes more engaged this offseason and they return some other good players. Cornell should be better as well with Teat as a senior, but their defense still has holes to fill. Not sure what to make of Hopkins and Rutgers, both teams SU needed fourth quarter comebacks against and now they'll be going on the road. UNC should be better, and I think ND and Duke take a step back from last year but they are always good. UVA will be a monster. I would favor them in their first six games, but the rest seem like toss ups to me.

Really wish they would have thrown an "easier" game in as a 13th game near the end of the season, there really are no easy games after February (and they dropped an "easy" game against Colgate last year). Feels like they could have been more creative to get more home games for later in the season, only 2 after February still makes me shake my head.

That "easier" game last year v. Navy where we dominated didn't do us much good in the subsequent tournaments where we lost our next two games. Just sayin. But in terms of a tune up it couldn't hurt and could be the difference in having a winning record. That said, this team should get to 8 or 9 wins in the regular season.

Ya its another daunting schedule but as I noted not a fan of only playing 12 games, doesn't leave a lot of room for error if things go South for a stretch. The away games are unfortunately a result of the Dome reno but it would have been nice if we could have gotten say a Siena or a Canisius or even St. Bonaventure to come to OCC or something and space out the schedule a bit and give the team a near guaranteed win. As you noted I don't see anything even close to a non difficult game after February and would have a hard time even saying X team is the easiest spot there. As much as I hate to say it I might have even played a lower level team where Hobart is currently and then agreed to truck back out there a second year in a row just to ease it up a little bit.

I hope this team stays laser focused the entire season because that is a schedule that can get away from you really quick.

The way I look at it is you want to be the best you have to beat the best. There going into this season in my opinion top 5 in the country and this schedule only will make them a better team come playoffs. The goal is a championship and this will get them prepared for memorial day weekend

They will definitely be prepared, no doubt about that.

Doesn't look that different from what I guessed two months ago. ;)

Yup good calls all around by this board. Think we pretty much had it nailed save for how the ACC games would fall. Was hoping for one more cupcake game but I figured I was going to be disappointed. SOS and RPI will definitely be high. SU and Maryland both with really difficult schedules this year.

Not happy with 3 straight roadies in March.

That's the price for a new roof.
