Sounds like the PLL will finally go to a geographic based model instead of the tour. For a league just starting out in a sport that is still not super popular I think the tour model mostly worked. But for long term success I think the move to actual cities makes the most sense. The MLL only really seemed to be popular in Denver and Boston so very curious where the PLL is looking.

If I read this right they will tour this year and most likely next, but teams will be be assigned a home city so fans will have a test run of sorts. Overall this is exciting news since it means the league (and the sport) is progressing.

I’m guessing Alex Simmons will be the only Orange player drafted tonight. Perhaps Kirst. That’s not a bad thing as it means there are lots of players coming back for SU.

Hoping tonight clears up the status of players who may decide to use or not use their fifth year, in the greater college game.

My guess is he’s going to focus on World Cup.. but I will definitely miss him playing for the cannons this year. Best of luck to him.

Not a bad year to miss your best player. Next years draft class will include Shellenberger, O'Neil, and Pat Kavanaugh. Reminiscent of the Spurs losing David Robinson for a season so they could draft Tim Duncan the next year.

Also wouldn't surprise me to see the Cannons trade their first round pick for a backup SSDM either.
