2024 bowl projections thread

I've got at least 3 people, including my pretty lady, mad at me because I'm holding up our holiday planning until I hear about a bowl.

We gots plans to make people! Let's figure this out!

Haha! Im in the same boat with my wife. She’s a UW alum and if the Sun Bowl projections are correct we might spend NYE in lovely El Paso. But probably not. Haha.

we have the same record and we are in the final CFP rankings.
it’s not like Duke football is a huge draw in the stadium or on TV.
Duke lost to both Georgia Tech and Miami.
Well pretty sure Kyle won’t play in the Sun Bowl.
Washington is only 6-6. Insulting to Syracuse.

Agree. I also don’t think Miami is a big draw for pop tarts. Their fan base is going to be disappointed missing the cfp. I could see them falling to sun instead.

Those frosted cinnamon rolls in the roll a tub thing...but the orange flavored ones. So much better than the original!

If we do end up in the Pop Tart bowl it would be a fail on their part if they didnt make the orange flavored frosted cinnamon roll pop tart style.

I would gladly turn down their offer and tell them to eat me...Im good as much as i hate mayo...Id be eating spoonfuls before eatîng a pop tart with legs begging to be eaten.

Don’t get too concerned about Duke to the Gator picks, if they are wanting ratings they wouldn’t pick Duke over us and same if they are worried about ticket sales. I mean, how many people on here have said the Gator wants Florida yet McMurphy has Ole Miss. he doesn’t know squat, nor does anyone else at the moment. If we don’t get the Gator then I think we get Pop Tarts.

I’m hearing we are being considered for three bowl games; Holiday (Dec 27th), Pop Tart (Dec 28th) and Gator (Jan 2nd).

This team had a good season. They improved as the season progressed and they deserve a good bowl game.

My preference would be the Holiday Bowl, but I’m sure JW will get this team into the best bowl game he can.

We will know soon enough.

Me too. I used to live in Gainesville and still have some good friends there . It would be a fun match up. Fun fact: the Orange came to Gainesville when I lived there, led by Todd Norley and Coach Mac. It was not a good outcome!

All of this. The Athletic has the same matchup (Cuse/Washington in the Sun) and also has Duke in the Gator. Enough smoke there to think, absent any change, it’s trending towards our final destination being El Paso.

Need, repeat, NEED Clemson to win this weekend. If (big ‘if’) Duke is locked in the Gator than that would open up at least Pop Tarts or Mayo.

I just want Clemson to win so it pushes the 3 loss Bama team out. Their logo got them that slot and not their actual play this season.

Putting Duke v Ole Miss in the prime time Gator Bowl reminds of the plot of "The Producers." It's like they want to create a bowl game so bad to create a guaranteed tax write-off for the organizers.

I talked to the head of the gator bowl as I used to teach him golf in Florida, they are waiting to see what Clemson does against SMU first before they make any decision with Cuse but there’s a very good chance Cuse gets gator bowl versus South Carolina or Florida. He didn’t say anything about Duke at all as of right now
