McMurphy now predicting Pinstripe against Nebraska.
McMurphy now predicting Pinstripe against Nebraska.
As Brett himself says, his projections are worthless unless his assumptions for conference championship, games are accurate.Yikes.
Have to assume if this is the case, it’s because we were relegated to the Sun Bowl and we told the ACC we would rather take a lower bowl than go to the Sun Bowl.
Wild how we fell from the Gator to the Pinstripe bowl this week without even playing
Why would we want Pinstripe vs. Sun? Are they concerned about fan support making the trip to El Paso? I just don’t understand that one.Yikes.

If you aren’t getting a Florida bowl, must be they want friends and family to have a reasonable destination. This is definitely losing on let’s make a deal. Why would we want Pinstripe vs. Sun? Are they concerned about fan support making the trip to El Paso? I just don’t understand that one.
Perhaps the AD should reserve their concerns about fan support to basketball, and their own department. The Pinstripe over potential southern/western bowls would be horrendous.Ding ding.

From what I heard, I think the three choices are Gator (if Clemson wins), Pop Tart or Holiday. I haven't heard Pinstripe mentioned. It would be choosing Pinstripe over a western bowl not a Southern one. SU wouldn't be turning down a Southern bowl game. Problem is Tech and Duke are much closer and are promising to move way more tickets for the Southern Bowls.

We can sell a lot of tickets to a Southern bowl that isn't El Paso.
If we do get Pinstripe, the only opponent that may prevent mass opt outs is Michigan. That would be a very juicy matchup. Unless these bowls have info on our potential opt outs, I think if you look at our turnout in Orlando in 2018, Boca last year, and Las Vegas this year. Cuse will travel very well. Duke home stadium always seems empty, so are they really going to travel for the bowl game? I think they’re fan base has moved on to Basketball season lol.I believe what your hearing is spot on. Those appear to be the three bowls SU would prefer and the Pinstripe would ony be a last resort versus an out west bowl.
Personally I'd rather see them play in the Sun versus yet another ice rink fest at Yankee stadium but I do get the rationale.
Sun Bowl always depends on locals for attendance because El Paso is so removed from …. well .. everywhere. I think players would rather go there than NY in winter. Maybe I’m wrong.Ding ding.
Plus, the Yankees love SU.If you aren’t getting a Florida bowl, must be they want friends and family to have a reasonable destination. This is definitely losing on let’s make a deal.
Playing in NY is fine when the team is supporting local fans. But its a kick in the teeth for a 9 win team.I believe what your hearing is spot on. Those appear to be the three bowls SU would prefer and the Pinstripe would ony be a last resort versus an out west bowl.

I don’t think opponent would matter if it’s Pinstripe. Players have seen how bad that field is. The horrible field conditions plus frigid weather = no brainer for opting out if you’re a potential draft pick.If we do get Pinstripe, the only opponent that may prevent mass opt outs is Michigan. We should all be rooting for Clemson is really the thing. They win, Gator it is.I believe what your hearing is spot on. Those appear to be the three bowls SU would prefer and the Pinstripe would ony be a last resort versus an out west bowl.

I've heard the same thing. From what I heard, I think the three choices are Gator (if Clemson wins), Pop Tart or Holiday. I haven't heard Pinstripe mentioned.
