This also assumes that the higher bowls wany to take unranked teams ahead of SU.

The Ole Miss vs Duke or Ole Miss vs SU we played Minn two years ago in a bowl so Mayo bowl makes some sense.

Don't know the number but it was a pretty good crowd. Awesome tailgate next to the Astrodome which was being torn down.

I think they are pretty much locked into the Fenway Bowl now. Probably against UConn.

That might be the most dramatic collapse in ACC history. They even have beaten our records, which is damned hard to do.

Have to assume if this is the case, it’s because we were relegated to the Sun Bowl and we told the ACC we would rather take a lower bowl than go to the Sun Bowl.

It would be choosing Pinstripe over a western bowl not a Southern one. SU wouldn't be turning down a Southern bowl game. Problem is Tech and Duke are much closer and are promising to move way more tickets for the Southern Bowls.

Duke doesn't move more ticket than us in football. Not close.

There's selling tickets and then there's guaranteeing how many tickets you will buy as a school. Va Tech and Duke are both reportedly guaranteeing to purchase tens of thousands of seats.

Dukes last two bowl games had 17K and 20K in attendance.

If they eat 15K of tickets at $100 thats 1.5 million. Is that big money for SU to make sure that get a better game to match?

The Pinstripe is a better bowl than the Sun in my opinion. NYC > El Paso ... Big Ten opponent > conference that no longer exists opponent... If Syracuse wasn't in it every other year, people wouldn't hate on being in NYC around Christmas time.

It's strictly a been there, done that situation.

He’s done a good job in the past - Camping World in 2018, Pinstripe in 2022, and Boca Raton Bowl last year.
He’s no magician but IMO, he’s not going to accept a crap bowl.

I think that's overblown as it is. Former long time ESPN exec cant do a darn thing to get that network to send gameday. I like him but he isn't a god
