6-7, 14 pts in 16 mins

are you being serious right now
is it really that hard to understand what he does well and what he doesn't.. he attacks great.. that doesn't mean great handle. they are separate abilities.. play to his strengths, speed and power. dribble down hill and back guys up. Nice qualities in a guard for sure..

this is not Marques haynes out there.

Have you had your eyes examined lately? (I mean this in the nicest way possible) :)

Do you know what number Kadary Richmond is? You obviously have him confused with somebody else or you don’t understand what the object of the game of basketball is.

Its sad, most of us have been saying it since December
Since last spring for me. i watched a few of his Brewster games online and knew he could be an immediate contributor if not a game-changer for this year’s team. I never felt Girard was the long term answer as the starting PG. I see him as the backup PG and SG.

I will admit that Kadary occasionally looks ‘unsure’ with the dribble when he has first entered the game recently. As if sitting on the bench for so long after warmups has an effect. He sometimes looks shaky in the first minute. And then, if he doesn’t get jerked prematurely, he starts “cooking“ defenders. His dribble isn’t going to look as tight as Joe’s because he‘s taller and he does much more with it. But, that’s the extent of it. To say he doesn’t have handles is to ignore the results. He is making defenders look like children. He converts at a high percentage in the paint. His defense is on another level, even when he isn’t actually getting steals or blocking shots.

Without naming names I think I've read the most myopic basketball take in my long history of reading opinions on this forum.

For that alone, it is a classic.

I found it kind of hard to be mad at not playing Kadary at the beginning of the 2nd half since we steadily erased the 9 point deficit during that time and the D looked much improved. Hard to call for a lineup change when we go from down 9 to up 2.
Saying that as someone who thinks he overall should be playing 35 a game no matter what fatigue issues he has because he is that good.

Thank you. I have had a man crush on Kadary for years now, but the board is ridiculous right now with the acting like JB is blind.

Well to be clear he is still “blind” for not playing him way more in the first half as we dug ourselves into that deficit. Just had no major issues with not immediately turning to him as we came back in the second. Also that comeback had little if any to do with Girard and Buddy, besides maybe some better work on defense and a couple nice drives from Buddy.

Kadary must dominate the starting guards in practice. I mean, they know.
Exactly - kids know. It is why I asked in another posts how kids do not resent the treatment. The players know who should be playing and who shouldn't - and this is not a Joe slam. He needs minutes too, but Kadary should get more than either Joe or Buddy.

Shoot, we all knew in the 3rd grade who was the best player on any team, I wonder if buddy and jg3 being the guys last year has JB more hesitant to pair kadary with buddy although buddy shouldn't be getting much more then 25-30 min IMO.

This HAS to be the beginning of a shift to Kadary, right? It blows me away that for years, JB has been trying to square peg other guys into the point guard position (Gbinije, Howard, even Girard) and now we actually have a really good point guard AND he’s tall! How is JB not riding him???

I’d also be curious what the rebounding numbers are with Kadary in versus when he’s out. I noticed several long bounces where Kadary can actually get up and compete to deflect/tip the ball to a nearby teammate. Those would have been clean boards for NCSt with Girard in there.

My only disagreement is that I think Girard rebounds pretty well for a guard, especially for his height.

I'm biting my lip Michael Scott style to not tell a fat joke about why that is, btw.

I just don't understand JB's rationale. Decreasing Joe & Buddy's minutes, along with increasing Kadary's makes them ALL better.

We're clearly a better team with Kadary on the court. Joe plays better off the ball. And Buddy is a much better shooter when he's not twisting & turning in the lane or taking contested 3's. Having Kadary in there to draw defenders when he beats his man opens up our shooters. Not only that, the added rest for each player helps them. I'm sorry JB - but guys do get tired, regardless of what kind of shape they're in.

Great post.

Just so it’s in both Kadary threads and nobody misses it.
But young kids can't go 40+ minutes in a game. The board experts say so. What do these used to be atheletes know that the board members don't?

Yeah literally nobody says this.
Good job creating a strawman argument.

Posters say superstars should play 40 MPG.
Not role players.

MCW/Fair/Warrick/Johnson/Carmelo.

James Southerland/Mookie Jones/Paul Harris shouldn’t be playing 40.

You change the argument to fit a point nobody says. That just kills debate.

read 4 posts up. Just for one. Do you actually read posts, or just lack comprehension skills?
