ACC, PAC-12, and BIG alliance / conference realignment

Add Memphis, Colorado St, Boise St, San Diego St. Pods:
West Virginia (Morgantown)
Cincinnati (Cincinnati)
Memphis (Memphis)
UCF (Orlando)

Iowa St (Ames)
Kansas (Lawrence)
Kansas St (Manhattan)
Oklahoma St (Stillwater)

Texas Tech (Lubbock)
Houston (Houston)
Baylor (Waco)
TCU (Fort Worth)

BYU (Provo)
Boise St (Boise)
Colorado St (Fort Collins)
San Diego St (San Diego)
I would think Fresno State and UNLV would add more value than Colorado State. It would never happen but 20 teams also fits nicely geographically and kills the MWC and AAC for good.

East - WV, Cincy, Memphis, UCF, USF (maybe ECU instead)
North - ISU, KU, K St, Okie St, Colorado St
South- Texas Tech, Houston, Baylor, TCU, New Mexico (or SMU or Rice or Tulane)
West- BYU, Boise St, SD St, Fresno St, UNLV

Just about every team that can get 25k per game would be in the P5 then.

So ESPN didn't end the B12 and its TV contract and didn't lock up the rights to an expanded CF Playoffs or even get an agreement on an expanded playoffs.
Turns out the UT-OU move to the SEC may have been premature. And we've been advised that premature anything is not good.

WVU got their dance partner. UCF gets more legitimacy. Ditto Houston. BYU gets a bigger stage. Interesting stuff. Looks like the Big12 is off of life support, and has been moved to just the ICU.
Anyone seen an updated Big12 coverage map?

memphis and boise st could be next according to a boise st twitterer

These are good moves by the B12. I get that everyone is chasing the SEC, but this makes a solid league and a logical footprint. College football has room for this. There is more than enough to go around.

The b12 will become the almost big boy chair. Those schools that fall just outside of the 4x16.

That Big 12 will be a very sound league for both revenue sports and baseball. There has been some talk it might add 2 more: Memphis and Boise St. I would have taken Memphis over Houston because Memphis averages more fans for both revenue sports and has no NFL team.

The new Big12 and the SEC could play by the opposite set of rules than the Alliance and play a semipro level of football and really take the top talent there, leaving the ACC, B1G, and PAC12 in a disadvantageous competitive situation.

Nonsensical stuff here Cous. They won’t be competitive $ wise with the SEC, much less the alliance.
