Announcers for Duke game?

My guess is Dan Shulman and Jay Bilas... Saturday Primetime
As long as it’s not that duo from early in the year where the lady clearly didn’t even know what players were on what team.. I’m good

Why don’t networks ever just get great former players as duel color commentators for one game?

For example I’d be more interested if the announcers Saturday were Christian Laettner and Derrick Coleman along with a play by play announcer.

I’d like to hear what they would say about their former coaches, battles against each other in college & the NBA and current thoughts on college basketball.

Great idea! They could use a special week on ESPN and give the idea a snazzy title.

I just wish they would call what is happening on the floor rather than talking about everything except calling the game. Maybe it's just me, since my sight and hearing aren't what they used to be, but it seems to me that years ago announcers were much more dedicated to announcing the game than to speaking to irrelevant subjects.

P.S. I like Jay Bilas and think he is among the best.

It is a good idea.
But not for a game.
The announcers already talk enough about things other than the game I'm trying to watch.
Do it in a studio...or on a basketball court.
Maybe call it "One on One" and drop in clips during a game between the respective teams.
