Breaking Bad

Odenkirk didn't have a recurring role on my pick for best comedy of all time, but he was in an episode of it, which is something
If you say the Office I may blow my mind. That show went off the rails when Steve Caroll left and instead of developing a identity went down hill fast.

Was he even on the office? I missed that.

Arrested Development baby

Oh yeah he was the Therapist on AD. Good pick I would agree Arrested Development best comedy if FOX didn't bury it. Odenkirk was on the final season of the Office last year and in fact was the person Steve Carrell beat out for Michael Scott the final two were Odenkrik and Carrell and the Office went with Carrell.

In the episode near the end where Pam is thinking about moving to Philly so she and the kids can be with Jim, she goes and interviews with a Company and Oudenkirk is the boss. He does an exact imitation of Michael Scott right down to the politically incorrect humor and bad jokes. They really hit it off and you get the impression she is going to take the job, but he tells Pam the job is essentially a glorified receptionist position. She turns it down and stays in Scranton.

I knew what just happened was going to happen, but still.

I cannot wait for Walt to get medieval on Uncle Jack.

The only phrase I can come up with to sum up that episode is, "Holy * * k ng s h * t".
Greatest show of all times.

[Hunkers down in anticipation of Jekelish scorched earth shitestorm.]

No scorched earth, but it's also not the greatest show of all time. I'll put it #2 on the list, though.

Your reaction was the same as mine. I love The Wire and right now it's 1a and BB is 1b.

It's awfully hard to top Omar and McNutty .
If you're not watching The Walking Dead you should check it out. Cutty has become a regular and they're adding D Barksdale this season.

So much for that rumored happy ending where Hank just pats Walt on the ass says "ok buddy, just don't let it happen again" and Walt, Jesse and Skinny Pete open up an ABQ bed and breakfast.

That sure was a wee bit dark. Hank dead? Check. Jesse tortured and enslaved? Check. Walt telling Jesse he let Jane die? Check. Walt in a knife fight with Skylar? Check. Junior turning on Walt? Check. Walt leaving town with his "Go barrell?" Check. Yeah, I'd say that was dark.

Good riddance to Hank. Too bad Marie did not meet her end as well. The scene where she shows up to basically gloat over Skylar and lecture her was too much. I am still hopeful she gets taken out before it all ends.

Walt telling Jesse about Jane was just so freaking cold. It could have been the moment he finally crossed over for good but they balanced it out at the end by having him return the baby.

I also can't stand Beetlebrowkleptonag (my moniker for Marie). She was almost as annoying for the show's run as... well, Skylar (Footface).

As I was watching the show last night it dawned on me that the show has unfurled in such a way that I really dislike every single major character without making me hate the show. It really is brilliant.

I am surprised by the number of people that didn't understand what Walt was doing when he was on the phone with Skylar with the police listening in. That phonecall is the one decent thing he's done in quite sometime and a funny parody of the Skylar haters.

I heard Talking Bad was worth watching last night, will have to watch it On Demand.

Exactly - he basically tried to absolve Skylar of guilt / involvement in criminal activity with an audience of police listening.

I don't think it's on On Demand. You have to watch it from the AMC website. Dean Norris (Hank) was on last night. I'm not so sure he watches the show based on some of his comments. I agree with your take about the phone call, and I even think Skyler might have started to get it herself. Anyway, Norris said that he could see how people would think that but it could also be Walt just making everybody know he's the real king. Really weird take, imo, especially when you consider it's Walt's last chance to protect his family.

Even though I knew what was going to happen to Hank and Gomie from last week I was not ready emotionally for what happened. My goodness, was that episode amazing. Walt begging for Hank's life and Hank taking it like a man. Walter's reaction to Hank's death. Walter giving that rat POS Jesse the news about Jane. Marie getting to save Skysenberg from pure evil. I loved the acting and reactions of Walter Jr. The opening scene with Skyler at the table foreshadowing the knife was awesome and it showed how Walter's original cook wasn't blue. The fight scene was everything boiling over for Walter and how he did all this Breaking Bad for them and it blowing up in his face even though he has 11 million doillars.

What I think is going to happen Walter goes to New Hampshire and Jack's crew is going to go after Jesse's confession tape at Hank and Marie's house. Marie is going to to die and then Jack's crew will trash Walter's home and either kidnap Walter's family or force them into witness protection. Walter is going to regroup in New Hampshire and will come back to ABQ with the intention of killing Jack's crew getting his money back, and using the Ricin on Lydia.

Great catch Guinness between Fringe and Walter losing Family. One thing I wish we learned from the past was what was Gus Fringe's connection to Chile that prevented the Mexican Cartel from saving his life. I theorized his family must have been connected to Pinoche. Also, did anybody catch Walter doing a Skyler a solid by giving herself legal protection from all of Walter's crimes. Walter tore into her like Heisenberg only could and basically said everything Skyler did by not listening to him, criticizing him was done under duress thus her actions would give her legal protection. The biggest mystery to me is how does the White residence get trashed next episode, I mean it has to be Uncle Jack but it will be interesting to see.

Not my work. I saw it online.

I will miss this one when it is gone!! Man what a show. What an intense episode. I need to watch it again this week, the knife fight and the brilliant call to Skylar especially. Will pick it up after Hank gets shot. Can't watch that again just as I don't think I could watch various deaths on GoT over again.

Man I didn't pick that up at all. Some other bloggers did though.
