Bryant to Indiana

You have to be the most dramatic pessimist on the board.
And if I said CM and TB would not play at SU but KJ would be our point guard and Chino our back up center or primary center if DC2 is disabled and not a shooter on the team from last year, I think I'd be closer to reality than the MOST pessimist

"Watch the watch, Watch the watch,...SU will be the best!"

don't be surprised if this is JB's last Hurrah. And Battle seeing we have no reliable center...well that's next. We are not seeing the NCAAT playing in the ACC for a number of years. SU just became on par with their FB team. UGH

Come on people, get a grip.

I think Syracuse can go to the final four and win the championship every year. Hell I think believe Syracuse will and can win every game (Just like i do with all my sports teams i root for) that's just my perspective as a sports fan.
Are you a Cuse football fan?

Why? Because he said what a lot of people are thinking?

If he thinks the punishments levied on JB and SU fit the crimes...then he's a dolt. We can't argue that happened, and we all admit that. But to throw down the hammer like they did for what amounts to piddly is simply beyond comprehension. 2-3 is one of those people that seems to have a grudge against JB and enjoys his pain. We all know one. I worked with one for 10 years. Said he loved SU and the players, but the team couldn't lose enough for him because of JB. What kind of fan logic is that?!

He just announced it on Espn. :bang:

On the bright side , we start sanctions a year earlier. TB is probably only around a year anyway. And the best of all, good chance SU will face off with Indiana in the Big1o/ACC challenge. What better way to start off the season than spanking the hoosiers.

Now that this is officially over, I will say that our chances of landing Bryant have not been good for a considerable amount of time.

For all that we offer, the kid wanted to put as much distance between himself and his mom as humanly possible.

His decision is his own, and my understanding is his entire family is disappointed. But it's his decision.

It is what it is.

He's an 18 year old kid, disappointing your parents is fairly typical at that age.

You're right. This kid went down to West Virginia to finish high school. Got a taste of what it was like to be 10 hours or whatever from home. Basically he dissed everyone who raised him and cared for him. Not so different than when we get a kid from outside the northeast. Unfortunate for Syracuse and the Bryant family.

Man, didn't think the Syracuse basketball program would come crashing down like this, with missing out on one recruit the year we have a top five class in the country and four starters returning. It's been a good run, everyone, nice knowing you all.

Jake, do you think SU will try to pull in a surprise recruit or are we done for next year? Seems like they could use another big fella for depth purposes. 4th year transfer?

LOL good one.

Damn. That blows. If it is true what Bryant said about the staff not contacting him in months then what were they thinking?! What the hell is going on up there?
My exact sentiments!! What is going on and I have a deep seated feeling nothing ... and I mean nothing. It seems that we have become a tortoise and have drawn our heads in our shells or up our a$$. I even have a feeling that we now "wait" and do nothing on Battle. This is all very confusing.

Wouldn't care so much if McCollough didn't declare, but this is painful. Just a painful year for SU in general. I can't really see the team being that much better than this year's team. I probably see a borderline NCAA - middle of the pack ACC team. Just being realistic.

If hedoesn't want to come, then it is what it is.

Why waste resources on a kid who doesn't like us?

Louisville and Notre Dame lose everyone. Duke doesn't have a pg. Everyone has personnel issues. Don't count JB out when he's down. This is when he tends to do his best work.

Same here I wasn't really expected Bryant, but I am surprised and utterly diassappointed that Chris decided to leave.

Agreed --- but I don't see the team being at the "level" we've been used to since about 2010 (excluding this past year). Just really big question marks. Put me in the camp that thought the door was wide open for TB when Chris left. I understand he probably wanted to "get away", but I just have to believe all the negativity played some kind of role in this, which has me concerned with recruiting for the next few years.

Since were going to be guard heavy next year do you think JB will use the press more? I think we have the athletes to and the depth at that position to press a good amount.
