Bryant to Indiana

Do you think Malachi will be one-and-done?

I've seen him play three times. I'd peg the odds of one and done at about 50-1 against but the NBA draft is a hard thing to figure some times.

A) Who has SU's class ranked 4? B) how many of the very best players have committed?

I'm not sayng it's a bad class, but generally all the game changing talent is in the top-25. Mostly top-10. The rest are hit or miss. Mostly 3-4 year program guys at the upper D1 level.

I think SU has a typical solid recruiting class of four guys that will all contribute over time and are likely to be at SU for most if not all of their eligibility. None of these four, IMO, are game changers as it relates to NEXT season. I read several posts that expect these players to be game changers next season - I think that is unrealistic.

I'm kind of with you on this. Richardson is obviously the prize of this class, but after him is there any standouts?

Our class is rated higher than LSU's who is bringing in Ben Simmons and Antonio Blakeney, #1 and #14 rated. Personally I'd trade all 4 of our recruits for them.

I wouldn't. It was said a few posts earlier but our 4 incoming frosh will stick around for 3-4 years and be the cornerstones of this team throughout the sanctions. We are lucky to be bringing in such a well rounded class.

Curious of your opinion of the Ennis, Roberson, BJ, Patterson, Chinoso class.

I'll take a sure thing every time.

Per a graphic shown during the McDonald's AA game.

Even if they aren't #4 the fact that none of them will likely start is a good sign.

Our last two big classes (2013 and 2015) have been full of 4 star players - who are role players who develop into starters after a couple years. We have been hoping to fill in the blanks with a few elite players to plug into the existing "support system".

Just like the 2002 class set (Warrick, Forth, Pace, Edelin) provided the foundation for the stars (Melo, Gerry) to complete the picture. We just lost 2 of the stars (McCullough and Bryant) to fill in the blanks for the "foundation classes". Hopefully we get Battle and another front court stud, and we'll be back in business.

Agree with this. Those two are studs especially Simmons.

I just like that hit five 3-pointers in a high pressure situation. I'm sure he will have some freshmen-itus and need some time to adjust to the speed of D1 game.

People here have been saying that Indiana didn't have room for Brant. Did that change? If not, can anyone take a guess at what Crean's plan is?

He's going to keep the 12 best kissers of the current roster and leave a spot open for Byrant.
