Buffalo Bills 2021 Thread

Wonder if not having a combine let this guy fall to the late 3rd.

Love the picks tonight.

Brown looks like an absolute monster we can develop and in the meantime become our swing tackle behind Dawkins/Williams.

Basham is a beast. Always jumped off the screen during their games.

The philosophy is interesting...

Basham, Rousseau, Epenesa and Obada are all physical freaks who can play inside or outside on pass downs. Theoretically they could all line up 4 wide in certain situations.

Hughes is really the only pure pass rusher we have right now, but it sticks out like a sore thumb that we have 7 or whatever edge guys now and 6 of them are built one way and the other is Hughes. Seems like we might just not value speed rushers very much

If you lose enough guys in FA and dont sign a lot yourself you can get compensatory picks the following year
We would have gotten a comp pick at end of Round 3 this year and next had the Texans hired Frazier as HC.

so that was a double whammy.

Read that Epenesa, Moss and Singletary had some of the worst RAS ratings among players drafted in Rounds 1-3 from 2019 to date

Yeah I remember being very surprised/questioning the Singletary pick when I saw the RAS rating, but I thought he had a solid rookie year.

This year at least we've gotten some more athletes so far

Not sure if there was any interest but wouldn't have minded a trade back here to try and get that 4th rounder back.
Read that Beane had a deal with an NFC team to move back into the 3rd, provided Boogie wasn’t available at 61.

That would have made a lot of sense for us. Interesting to see if we try and trade up to the 4th with 2 5s and a full complement next year

I’m ready to be disappointed, but the off-season overhaul of our DL would be complete with a guy like Tyler Shelvin today.

That said, WGR having a great discussion on this right now. McD seems to want inside/outside versatility on the DL, which leads to guys like Harry being on the block too.

Could easily see us going with 9 DL total, and half of them are inside/outside guys.

Don't get the current moves at all. Another project tackle and then trade our other 5th rounder for 2 6's? Bizarre

Trade down is definitely questionable at this point. We don't need to bring a lot of draft picks to camp with how deep the roster is right now

I think Beane believes in the elusiveness metrics that are out there on RBs. Singletary and Moss are like #1 and #2 all-time in PFF's elusiveness rating in college or close to it.

I'm indifferent to the tackle pick but I love that we traded down to get two more shots at finding a player.
