If Phillips wants to come back (inexpensively), I’d certainly take it.

Not much of a run defender but he can get pressure from the interior. If we are priced out of elite EDGE help, Oliver/Phillips & Jones/Settle would certainly bring energy and pass rush potential from the IDL.

Ya assuming he understands were not in the position to offer big $$ , he makes sense to bring back for sure and really solidifies the DT position to a point where I don't think you really need to address it in the draft save for a late round guy.

I think Phillips was always pretty bad and proved it out in Arizona, but he was at least energetic and was in the right place at the right time here and there.

Like both of these signings, though I will say OJ has looked like a shell of himself the last couple years. Hopefully he regains some of his athleticism this off-season.

I always thought he under performed as a pass catcher because of those around him and he spent more time blocking. But maybe I was wrong and he isn’t that great at run blocking?

Yeah he's going to be a bit of a project. Maybe the change in scenery will be good for him.
