Buffalo Bills 2022 Thread

I’ll now remind myself he was too slow anyway. Not a burner. Singletary with better hands. Meh.

I mean, I liked his fit in our Offense. No clue what he’s thinking. Saw the Commanders releasing players all morning and came to the logical conclusion that’s where he needs to be?
I would guess he just likes DC/wanted to show some loyalty to the team that gave him a shot but who knows. Bummer though.

Damn… I absolutely loved that McKissic “sign”. Not sure I’ve seen that before. Oh well.

Ya that stuff happens but its usually while a player is considering a team, odd to change his mind after agreeing especially when Washington didn't make an initial offer themselves. It does free up additional cap space money though so from that standpoint we can use it somewhere else maybe Jones or a CB. We will need to address RB at some point though, I assume the draft, Can't see us running it back with Singletary and Moss. Maybe reach out to Penny?

Something somewhat similar just happened a couple days ago, although he flipped from his current team to a different team:

Ty Chandler is a 3rd-4th RD guy a lot of Bills podcast guys like.

Is Breida still an option or did it not really work out and we're just gonna move on?

I think were gonna move on, good speed guy but he fumbles way to often and is hurt a lot.

Yeah you're probably right. Just thinking that he's a cheaper option for those that aren't too keen on drafting a RB. I wouldn't be surprised if he's looking for a situation with a slightly larger role though too.

Chandler Jones to Raiders at, reportedly, $17M per

Dude doesn’t care about winning, but good for him.

At least the nuclear arms race of the AFC West gets ratcheted up even more.

Ya 17 mill isn't happening here, wish it could but we would be in cap hell

Today has been a $_it show for Bean.

I really wanted Chandler

So we’re basically down to Clowney, Zadarius, Hughes, and Ingram as more high profile options in free agency or taking a shot on someone young like Arden Key if we’re going to bring in a pass rusher.

Bills have picks in every round and 2 picks in Rounds 6&7. I'd trade all 4 of those picks to move up in an early round(s).

I think they have only one 7th rounder, nope your right they have two.

Yep prolly just a 1 year deal like Sanders

Injuries have been an issue, but maybe you get a James Lofton type return on him. I wouldn't pay a ton but like you said a 1 year deal makes sense.

No thanks on Julio. Gross.

I don’t think a rental WR makes sense. We likely extend Diggs soon. Davis is due big money in a couple years most likely. I’d rather take a 1st or 2nd RD WR.

If we do go FA WR, go all in at that spot and get Allen Robinson. None of this old Julio, old Manny Sanders stuff.

At EDGE, still hoping for a Danielle Hunter trade. He’s a better player than Chandler Jones, younger and fills that building block piece.

If we end up with an Addison, JPP type, it will be frustrating because that essentially means Tremaine Edmunds stands in the way of an elite pass rusher.

I don't think Davis is gonna cost as much as people think. Hasn't cracked 600 yards in a season yet, although in a limited role. I'll worry more about keeping him if he starts at WR2 and has a big season.

100% agree on the Danielle Hunter move

I think its clear that cap space or lack thereof is really hurting Buffalo right now but that's what happens when you pay to retain your own stars and have a roster of good players who demand upper level salaries. Edmunds 12 mill a year certainly isn't helping matters with teh cap crunch and COVID has hurt the Bills as the cap would probably be 15-20 mill higher then it is right now. Agree on Addison and JPP, rather try for Hunter then go down that path.
